How did you do the footrest? There's only foam behind there...I've spent some time tearing up the carpet there to see what I can do, but it just looks like you'd have to do something hokey.

Thanks! Mods look nice.

The area behind the footrest is pretty soft (as you stated) with foam, etc. I used slightly longer screws than what was provided to get through plate, carpet, and foam so that it actually mounts to something solid.

The fasteners on the gas and brake pedal are the same hex-bolt (came with the pedals). The footrest plate came with larger flat-head phillips screws as it's not possible to use a nut and bolt fastener.

rlee02135 - Yes, it was a real pain drilling through the steel brake pedal. I had to buy a special 'hard medal' 5/32 drill bit to get the job done.

Although AMG doesn't make manual's, do they have AMG pedals for manuals -- basically another pedal for the clutch? If not, what about the new metal ones the C230 & C350 Sports Sedans use, does anyone know where I could get them?
