Flat Hood Emblem
What do u guys/gals think of these flat hood emblems.... First are they the good suff not the sticker on a metal piece. AND the prices, are they worth it.

Not an AMG :(
I've had the 2.25" flat badge that covers the recessed area and I didn't like it. I got one of those MB flat badges from DFWdude and that looks really tight - fits into the recess perfectly (1.75") and locks down nicely.

The sticker kind (first 2) are total, complete, utter garbage (quality-wise). Might as well just duct tape it on your hood.
For the first two, you screw it on and tighten, it will leave a mark (since the hood is bigger than the original recessed hole).
The 3rd one fits and looks like it locks like the original.
If you want something like the first 2 (just for a look), I have it for sale, ultra cheap, say $20 + shipping? I bought a CL-grill and it came with it. I ordered a star from DFWdude instead after looking at the one I received.

i disagree. i've had the one listed (1st one) for over 2 years now. first on my 05 c230 and now on my c55. it hasnt faded or left any marks. DFWdude's product is great. dont get me wrong, i would buy his but not for that price.

HEY guys
Thanx for the feedback.. A buddy of mine showed me his.. and it was the sticker one.. I am leaning toward the 3rd one but I found this one on the E55 forms..

Anybody know where i can get this one.. this one is all metal.. and I like the style..I know the price is higher but I heard its excellent quality and won't scratch the hood.. The other question is, do they make it for a C32..

Hey Tectite - that's the one I have, the amg flat hood metal emblem. Do a search for 'Mario emblem' and PM him. The guy is cool and shipping was fast. Of course, it is expensive but... what's not expensive for these cars anyway. Totally worth it, it fits perfectly, the only thing is missing is the /// next to the AMG to make it look OEM, other than that, I'm happy with the quality.
