Thumbs up Replaced door pins...

This is certainly one of the cheapest upgrades and yet one I enjoy every time I go in, or out of the car. Here they are: very elegant, with a fine printed AMG logo on top:

For this specific type, I had to widen a bit the original plastic rings that go around the pin, but this extra effort is worthed.

Those door pins look nice. I have the oem clk door pins for my C55. The flush look is so much better than the golf tee door pins.

If possible, try to post pictures of your doors.

I just have the solid aluminum door pins from Formymercedes.com. Great mod., matches the aluminum trim. Looks a lot better than the stock pins.

those arent too shabby. i still think the brabus ones are still the best.
these would be better if it didnt have the "rings" near the top. nice touch though

I have seen the Brabus on e-bay too but for the C32 interior, what I have is better as the trim on the C32 is textured aluminum (more subtle) as opposed of the shiny aluminum in the C55. I particuarly liked the three rings

Picture to follow soon (not at home now).

sorry for being off topic, but for those with flush mounted door pins, i have a quick question.

for the rear passengers, i noticed that they are unable to open to rear doors from the inside by simply pulling on the door handle. pulling the handle once does not unlock the door. they have to pull up on the door pin to unlock and then pull the door handle to open the door. is there some switch i'm missing which would allow the rear passengers to unlock the door by simply pulling on the handle?

the reason i ask is because if i switch to flush mounted door pins, the rear passengers would essentially be trapped unless i unlocked the door using the front button or if i opened my door. that would be bad in an accident situation.

I have Brabus door pins and the chrome surrounds sold on formymercedes.com. Formymercedes has the surrounds for 30 bucks which is a joke, so I bought a set of chrome pins with surrounds on ebay for $30 bucks and sold the pins for 20, same exact surrounds. $10 bucks for a must have accessory in my opinion.. The plastic surrounds suck and are too small for a good fit with the Brabus pins.. Looks outstanding too!

I just did a quick search on ebay and I found these surrounds. These are exactly what I have.. hey and only starting at 9.99..

I took some pictures tonight with a flash, natural light would have been better. May post better pics later. Wife and I considered metal surrounds but thought it is too flashy for our taste. No matter which way you go, it is a good step up from the stock pins.

Agreed! Everything on my car is authentic.. no replica anything.. nothing bugs me more than seeing a set of replica Brabus wheels on a car.. There is an S500 in my parking lot with replica Brabus wheels and I just think CHEAP-O! LOL..

Sorry this is obviously just my opinion.. no offense meant to those with fake ****.. hehe..

Unlocked. When locked, the three rings are just above the surface. I did not screw the pins all the way in just to get that effect. Otherwise, the pins would stick out less.
