Hmmm...I saw a grey one at the mall the other day. My friend goes, see this guy brings his car to Woodfield, you're so ghey for not driving!
But if anyone is from around here...you know you don't bring your car to Woodfield unless you're a balla. Or if you want to walk a mile.
The blue color is probably my favorite blue on a car.

I had an RS4 on order for a while.I really wanted a white one but they couldnt get it at the time.So I was then torn between Sprint Blue Pearl or Imola Yellow,I chose the blue.I got to drive the Audi reps car before they were released to the dealers here.Great cars.

Amazing cars!
I respect an RS4 driver, because sure at that price he could have gotten a flashy car - but he stuck true to a driver's car, an enthusiasts' car and at that a subtle car. These cars are very, very rare (hence they won't drop in price too much), and ironically when I saw it, I saw it in the same color (and actually twice!). I though the Red, Blue and Yellow would be the popular colors, but that's an Audi Buyer, never screaming, just very subtle.

i saw one in Chinatown a few days ago and i fell more in love with it in person! i have always loved the S4 but the RS4 is just so sexy! inside and out.
they are rare indeed! this is the first one i have seen in person. if i had the money i would buy this car over most.

with the engine hanging infront of the front axle- the rs4 understeers and loads the front tires excessively. one auto mag corded dot r compound after a few track laps. not sure if this can be cured with more -ve camber. IMO if you can't track the car well what's the point? might as well buy an SUV.
the uber sedan midsized race is between the upcoming c63 and e90 m3. don't see the audi rs4 competing especially with the probable price differential.
there was one in my local dealers indoor new car lot (fairfield mercedes/porsche/audi). you get to walk around and suss out cars. hop in for a test fit. the rs4 was locked maybe sold. can't get over the nose....really liked the 2004 s4.

Ummmm.....
British broadcaster and writer, Jeremy Clarkson, who also stars in the infamous show Top Gear, said that the Audi RS4 is the best built and best driving 4-Door Sedan. In fact, the fact that the engine is mounted so far front of the car actually gives the car better handling -- this is a trademark design by Audi.
To be honest, the RS4 is waaaaay out of reach for cars on the road today, and the upcoming BMW M3 may not deliver the performance of the RS4 (especially due to pricing issues - M3 will start in the mid-$50's, the RS4 is about $70K). But the fact that BMW delayed the M3 in order to compete properly, face it, against the Audi says a lot!
Also those people at whatever magazine simply can't drive -- if a car can do the Nürburgring track in JUST over 8 minutes, it can handle anything.
The RS4 at the moment is quite simply in a class of its own.

I sat in one last Saturday. The dealer had just gotten it so it was still wrapped in plastic and I couldn't drive it, but they let me start it up. Man that engine sounded good! I'll be test driving it this weekend, Saturday, if they still have it. Definitely looking forward to that!
According to what I've seen, it turns a 7:58 lap time at the Nurburgirng, the same as a 997 911S:

That said, I do not think it's in any way GOOD to have 60% of the weight up front, and so much of it ahead of the front axle. And it's a characteristic of Audi mostly due to their commitment to an AWD setup that puts the front axle at the back of the engine crank. Other makers route power forward with complex shafts. It's by no means optimum, but Audi makes it work.
That fop on Top Gear hates Audis because he can't get them to drift. But you can't fake lap times.

awrite it looks ok. i wish audi would just remove that bar midway across the rad intake and make it one big deep homogenous surface.
c63
....one of the easiest ways to choke down an engine is simply restrict intake or exhaust...or restrict via chip parameters.....vs casting lower compression pistons, altering bore stroke etc ....which means the c63 may be easily uncorked for 500hp. time will tell..........but 500hp/3800 lb/7 speed ought to make for some fun.
5th did you arrive at a conclusion re suspension?

When I need new struts, I'm going to go with the RennTech springs. Part of me wants to go all-out with PSS9s, but turning my daily driver into a track car only delays the ultimate and correct decision - to get a car that's better suited to track work.

sensible. i've been prepping my suzuki swift gt for this yr's season. still plan to run a few events with the c32 tho.
i think you'll like the springs. a rear sway will be good as well. i wish i'd done mine a long time ago.

While BMW has not released pricing for the M3, I don't think it'll reach $70K. I mean the M5 is $80K and the 335 (coupe) stands at $40K (also the Z4 M-Roadster are at $50K). So I'm thinking probably $60K, (I mean the current M3 at $50K would mean a $20K upgrade and even for an M3, $70K sounds a little ridiculous). Also the M3, like most of the BMW M's, I imagine won't have too many options so the figure may not go too high up even loaded. We'll see.
Also, the fact of the matter is BMW sells more cars than Audi (in that range), hence demand/supply economics concludes that BMW will have lower production costs, hence pass the savings to the consumer.

Suzuki Swifts kicked some butt at the SCCA Runoffs. Very cool, unique car. Reminds me of one my early car lusts. I wanted an Isuzi I-Mark Turbo. I ended up getting a 1986 Mitsubishi Cordia Turbo.

Took a look at the RS4 this past weekend at Santa Monica Audi. That's one sweet sled. I'd take that in a heartbeat over the M3.
