C32 over E55

C32 over E55
Yesterday morning I raced a stock E55 with my C32 and took him by a little less than 1/2 a car length.
I have no idea what year E55 it was but similar body style as mine. Mine is a 2002 C32 w/o any speed mods. Maybe the guy didn't know how to get the best out of his E55, maybe he had a check engine light on, maybe it was a 2001, I have no idea.
All I know is I won! It totally made my day!
It was zero to about 100 from a stop light.

Maybe it was a 1993 honda civic. You're so proud to beat a car that you had no idea about, and it totally made your day. Wow, you're easily amused aren't you... First, you started a useless thread in the wrong forum, second: your post contains no useful information, and it’s not even entertaining.. such a waste of space and time. I dare you to repost your story in the Kill Stories forum.. should be interesting to see what people have to say.

You guys are right, I'm so humbled by your greatness. I aspire to be as knowledgable and as witty as you guys. One thing I'm sure of, it wasn't a 1993 Honda. I would know your mother's car anywhere.

Haha, you know we're just joking, but that comment about it being that time of the month... well, we needed something like this, really.

C32 AMG - in Pewter
Up to 100 mph at less than 1/2 car lenght difference, as he said. Unless the other guy is a lunatic and drives at 100 all the time between traffic lights , he was pushing it for sure. It must have been an older E55 with no S/C engine, not that surprising.

2002 C32 Black/Charcoal
Childzplay:
Don't mind the PMSing retardz.
If your C32 is stock, you probably raced a non-supercharged E55 (2002 and older). A stock C32 will generally get owned by a 2003+ E55, all other things being equal.
If your C32 is heavily modded, you might have raced a 2003 or later E55.

the only other possible outcome for this would be a W211 with a broken intercooler pump that is completely heat soaked running on 87 octane with the ECU pulling massive amounts of timing and the driver manually shifting at 3000rpms...hehe

No problem, sorry to waste everyone's time. Thanks to all the cool responses.
We were definitely racing, we both rev'd, we started at a red light with nobody in front of us. I dropped down to second, traction control off, and barely chirped. It could have been an off day for him, maybe it was a 2001 or 2002. I know the specs. of the 2003 and it doesn't seem possible to take with a lightly modified C32. Another thing I've found is some guys don't know how to get the most out of their cars in a race. I learned my launching technique from this board. Who knows, I was just pleased to win - great start to a Monday morning. Especially since I just installed my lightning pump and a new secondary air injector. I've been struggling with the CEL for a while.
My friend is a master technician for Mercedes. He told me about the two octane settings. Has anyone switched to the higher rating? He said it would make the throttle response more linear. Any thoughts?

FWIW.. I looked at the stats on a w210 E55. The E55 and a C32 have the same HP numbers, and 1/4 mile speeds, looked like it was a little slower 0-60.. The E does weigh 200 lbs more. I think a good driver should have a slight edge 0-100 mph...

C55 AMG
Any thing is possible on the streets. Guy spins off the line and no traction and the C32 is going bye bye. You gun it first and the other guy is still waiting to go. It doesn't take long to reach 100 mph and by that time theres no way someone will catch you. A 12 sec car will not catch up to a 13 sec car up to 100 if he starts a sec late. Some stories are bogus though.

I second that...I have personally won two races against newer E55's. Both were old farts in a hurry and couldn't drive. I think I have mastered launching my car and that will help in a street race.
I must also add that I have lost a race against an E55 as well.
