Seems, like one opinion would be Evosport stage2, plus Cams, careful porting of the heads, plus a custom tune.

To get to 400rwhp you may need to do the above + a 3.8L conversion. A few of them has been done here in Taiwan with factory parts I believe(C350 heads + E55 pistons if I remember correctly).

in Eurotuner or some magazine like that, they had a Dyno shootout. One of the participants was a Evosport C32. It made 420rwhp. Evosport was supposed to release a stg 3 kit but decided not to cause it was too expensive.

Speaking of nitrous, i have read places that sometimes, nitrous can mess up the inside of the s/c (like the lining or something). i do know that people spray with s/cs, but it could be because they are different s/cs and may have a special coating or lining. does anyone know the strength of our s/c coating/lining and if nitrous would mess it up?

I think it depends on what you're spraying into the intake, either a dry shot of Nos or a wet shot, and also where you're going to place the nozzle in the intake system. Dry shot of Nos shouldn't harm the supercharger.

I did the cams and the head work with the engine swap. Josh at HOP did a great job on everything. Only other person who has reportedly done head work or engine swaps is Mohammed Ben Sulayem of Dubai.

Ah, that's right. I forgot that you ported too. Why don't you share a dyno sheet?

I'm going to dyno before I install the 2.5" exhaust, ASP pullies, and green filters, then I'll do an after dyno with the mods. My car is currently around 300rwhp with the smaller 1.80" exhaust. I know for certain that my C320 exhaust pipes are less than 2" diameter and C32 stock pipes are around 2.5". I could almost wrap my whole hand around the C320 pipes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm quite certain there will be a HP increase after these are finally installed.

I saw the catalytic mid-pipe for a C230K at the dealer and it had huge 3" piping.

I was an inch away from cams and head porting, but was delayed because my Evo Stage II got delayed...

pshek, I would love to see your dyno results though before I hit the trigger on this...

I was thinking about Schrick Cams since they are about $800 cheaper than Kleemann's...

I was going to give the car to Evosport, and I think they sub-contracted to a specialized shop (sorry, don't know who they actually deal with?)

Are you thinking about Cams and heads too?

What kind of dyno are you going to be using?

Other guys here are using DynaPack's, I was curious if your going w/the more accepted Dynojet or Mustang dyno? "Roller dynos" the Dynapack removes your wheels and hooks right to the lug nuts...

The rolling dyno gives a more accurate real world reading of rear wheel HP..

You say you are only making about 300rwhp now? what is your estimate after your above described work?

Thanks

HOP has a dynojet, which is what I'll be using. 300rwhp is a conservative figure.

BTW, Josh is porting the heads on my old C320 motor, which shares the same casting as all the other M112 motors. Hehe....I wonder what he's going to do with the old motor? Should be fun.

Depends on if the engine is going to be boosted or normally aspirated. On my old normally aspirated 320 motor, the valves are about 1mm bigger. We did not go with bigger valves on my low compression AMG motor.

i will upgrade it if i go with cams, just to be on the safe side...the motor may be low compression, but with a F/I motor it raises the effective compression...

I haven't thought much about it. Depending on price, it might be the best bet. I wonder if they offer competition head gaskets too.

If we had 8000 RPM motors, it would be a no brainer.

i would do it just purely for the insurance, i don't want to have to get into the heads more than once...
