and where did you read that there would be a 4matic option for the C63? didn't see that anywhere...

Maybe NOT 450 HP
Read carefully, it sounds like it will NOT make 450 HP. It is a detuned version of the engine that makes 450 HP in other models.
Though not mentioned in materials Mercedes released, AutoWeek has confirmed the company is planning to launch a new C63 AMG model. The replacement for the C55 AMG runs a detuned version of the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 found in all of AMG’s newer models, delivering around 450 hp.

Even w/amg styling (the rear amg fascia is the only nice piece on the entire car) the rest especially the re-designed Acura TL style head lights, are aweful next to the old design mercedes grill....

gear-rpm on shifting up- max speed in the gear.
1st- 38 mph
2nd- 3680 rpm/ 64 mph
3rd- 3968 rpm 100mph
4th- 4400 rpm 141 mph
5th- 5139 rpm limiter 155 mph or delimited 175 mph at redline. ( a stg 2 will pull to 180 with 265/30-19 rear tires).
i'd like closer clusters say 4000 rpm, 4400 rpm, 5000 rpm, 5500 rpm (you can back into the actual ratios) ...but final would be too short. anyway.....the closer clusters would keep the motor in the powerband..it would be crazy. a shorter rear diff would simulate this to some extent but not quite.

never did never will. what folks don't realise is that the big 3 (bmw, mb, audi) carefully segment their cars. i swear there must be collusion at the strategic management level. ...i for one am grateful. what if everyone started building the same car???
amg- comfy automatics, big power
bmw M- hi strung, smg/ or manuals
audi quattro gmbh- awd
for every one of us hotheads on this forum there are 15 middle aged folks, with amgs, totally enjoying the unique package.
it kills me when folks buy a M3 then start fretting about 1/4 mile times....christ- go buy a mitsu 3000gt vr4, drop 10-15k and run 10s.

Cars are going to look to look more and more alike because of aerodynamics.. it's just smart engineering.. The TL looks like a soccer moms car.. the C is aggressive, and mean looking.. Look at that bumper, the fog lights, mesh grills, dope *** bi-xenons.. I wouldn't look twice at that POS Acura
I think Mercedes is going to have a hit if the w204 handles well.. I am pretty damn interested in buying one just from the pics and vids I've seen.. Bet that monster engine on the C63 will open up nicely with some tuning.. how about adding an SC...

they ****ed up.....
the body should have wider fenders (another inch or 2) the bumper should have side vents (sl55 030,65.....)
and the car need to be lowered like 3in
and those mirrors are hideous

w3rd bro. what's with MB and foggie styling and 4x4 ride height. well not surprising b/c avg MB owner is like 70. foggies will complain of stiff suspension.
MB needs to stretch out the fenders like this ****:

Hopefully the production model engineers will read this thread, and act accordingly..
