Got it from 55tech.com. There is some self-assembly, and the extended hoot latch handle is a tricky job (for me). But it looks great IMHO. Also got the AMG "button" to replace the star.

Looks good. Btw, what year is your C32? Your headlights still look clean not like mine tend to be yellowish now

Say does the grille come with a new hood latch, or does the original latch fit the new grille slots/ strakes?

It comes with a new latch extension. It's the trickiest part of the job. I removed the latch from the hood (two bolts) and found out the hard way that the latch handle is held onto a small shaft with a clip ring. You pull the clip off the shaft and the handle slides off. Then you put it back together with the longer handle. Gotta make sure you remember which way the handle and spring go together. I got lucky and nailed it the first try.

The grill is in 3 parts. The main section with lateral strakes and a 7" hole in the middle, then a "cup" section that is all black and snaps into the back of the main section in the middle of that hole, and the last piece is an actual Benz part - big silver star that goes onto the center cup.

I'll be sticking with my headlights for now, and Maryland is pretty strict about front plates.

Looks awesome!

I did the same CLK style grill but the blades are silver, not black like yours.

Considering the clear lenses now. I'll search the forum for info, but does anyone know the cost for clear lenses?

I like the way it highlights the hoodline around the grill. With the old chrome grill, the contours of the grill surround did not stand out. A couple of weeks ago I took off the grill to see how difficult it would be, and I was surprised how aggressive the front looked without the block of chrome. I may fool around with the old grill and mock up a track-day grill that exposes the front air scoops and maybe blocks off some of the opening for aero benefits.

Exciting... I have the same grill, waiting in my basement to be installed on my pewter C32. Just waiting for more human weather here - the real North(ern) America

I also have two emblems to go - the regular CLK MB emblem and the black and white AMG logo emblem (tree and piston...)

grill takes 5 mins to install- no need for good weather.

I might do it earlier, I just try to avoid driving the car now. Having it look better ain't helping with my temptation

I did it in the garage. Engine was warm, so it wasn't even uncomfortable.

Replacing the latch handle was actually a 10-15 minute job.
