2003 AMG C32

New C32 Member in SoCal

Hi guys,

New group member with a C32 in Temecula, CA. My commute is to Cypress so I may see some of you OC members. Mine is a 2003 silver with chromed wheels. Owned it for about three years.

Would appreciate answers to a couple questions. I see several C32 posted had a resonator removed, does the car still pass CA smog? Also, who in the OC will do the work? I was also told my C32 needs a new air mass sensor, any best place for these?

I look forward to being part of the group and getting some additional performance tips!

Welcome aboard.

The resonator is not considered a smog device therefore should not affect your smog results. Any reputable muffler shop should be able to replace the resonator with a pipe in its place.

Correct. The resonator is just another muffler. I had mine done by a shop in Lake Forest for $50. I'm blanking out on the name right now but if you are in that area at all, PM me and I'll dig it up for you. But, like sdsilverm3 says, any decent muffler shop can do it.

As far as work being done for the MAF, I have been using MB Laguna Niguel because I still have a month of CPO left.
