C32 0-60mph G-Tech
My car beat 4 Lexus GS 400 on street so far which are rated doing 0-60mph in 5.8s as spec. So as my assumption my car must do better than 5.8s. I have never brought mime to the track so really don’t know how it performs. I bought a G-Tech competition and upgrade the firmware to RR 4.01 version (the current up to date) . So far the best run I ran on street (not on track) was 6.9s where the street is not perfect flat (you can easily notice the road uneven and chipped) and start at about 2000rpm (at this rpm, my rear wheels start spinning). With this 6.9s, it’s impossible to win a 5.8s GS400. I guess that the GS400 must do slower than 5.8s on street (since it’s impossible to archive the perfect condition of the spec) and I could do better than 6.9s on track but don’t know how much better? So does anyone know how accurate 0-60mph time between street and track? If it’s 6.9s on an average street then how much better if it’s on a track?
Please do not give me the spec 0-60mph. I just want to know the real number.

Do you know the setup of G-Tech and how the others launch? I am affraid of doing it wrong.
Thanks again

BTW: I launch the same on the street as at the track with very similar results. Bring RPM's to 1300-1400 with the footbrake and let off and roll into the throttle. Works every time! I get 1.9 to 2.0 60' at the track which is pretty good for such a small street tire.
I guess drag racing my vette made me better at launch my C32. Not the same experience. Vette 1.6X > C32 1.9X and the vette runs mid to low 11's.

It's not because I don't like the track number. It's because I haven't had a chance to go on track. Plus I bought a G-Tech so I just want to know how well I am doing on road.
Another reason, we are driving on road everyday
not on track

before Thanksgiving where I met up with (4) E55's, (1) C55 and (1) C230 chasis
with a V6 engine in it.

Road Times:
========
Best 0-60 time = 4.91 seconds
Average 0-60 time = 5.13 seconds
Best 1/4 mile time = 13.8 seconds
Average 1/4 mile time = 14.05 seconds
Track Times (also had G-Tech with me to confirm track results):
==================================
Best 0-60 time = 4.81 seconds
Average 0-60 time = 4.96 seconds
Best 1/4 mile time = 13.68 seconds (G-Tech recorded 13.61)
Average 1/4 mile time = 13.8 seconds
Of course after Stage 2, things DRAMATICALLY changed...
Best 0-60 time = 4.225 seconds...
Average 0-60 time = 4.45 seconds...
Best 1/4 mile time = 12.71 (on the road and before SL55 airboxes)
Average 1/4 mile time = 12.85 seconds
Keep in mind these numbers were recorded on fairly even roads and brand new Pilot Sports 2 tires with 19" SL65 rims (very heavy), which helps in initial traction because they are heavier, but takes a little away from top-end.
Hope this helps...
I have 18"x8.5" aftermarket chrome wheels on it. It might be the reason why it was slow a little bit. But can these wheels slow you down a second?
Still working on it. I believe I can bring it down to 6.0s but I don't think I can bring it down to 5.4s on my G-Tech. I am afraid something is wrong with my G-Tech or I have a wrong setup.
Can you provide your G-Tech setup please?
Thanks!

I drive a 04 CLK 500, the fastest i've recorded in my car was a 5.28 sec 0-60
I'm sure that this was accurate, the previous day i was at the track to tune in the G-timer.
However i did the 5.2 0-60 when it was 34 degrees outside. when it's like 80 it'll pull around 5.7

I was wondering as look at these posted times and compare your C32 to the C320 time:
2002 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG 5.1 13.6
1994 Mercedes-Benz C220 8.7 16.9
1996 Mercedes-Benz C220 9.0 16.9

I am leaning graphs now and find out that I have best launch at 1800rpm on my car so far. So I am working on it looking for the best. I am very much sure I can do better than what I have now so far, but there’s still a chance that there is something wrong with my G-Tech. I think I will find another one to see what’s going on.
Regarding the C320 time, I don’t think C320 can compare to mine since I am already down to 6.4s and the time on C320 is 6.8s as you stated.
Just like I stated from the original post that I had beat so many GS400 rated 5.8s, let say the average GS400 will do something like 6.00s, I beat them quite easy so I have to do better than 6.00s but I am still at 6.4s???
Anyway, what is the IC pump? I’ll double check it.
Thanks
I saw this clip before
. It’s very impressive. Thanks again. However, I think the Beltronics is not so accurate. From running the clip in slow mode, your instrument shows you started launch at 2rd second and reached 60 at 8th. So I my calculation is approximately 6s for your run

Sorry if my theory is worng! Please do not get me wrong. It's a very impressive run really!
Thanks!
I blame on my G-Tech
). Cause' again I beat GS400 rated 5.8s, I must do better than 5.8s.
I don't have traction control on btw.
Thanks

The reason I suggest it is that the pump failure can be quite gradual/progressive and the only real way to tell if you have the issue is to plug in diagnostics in so that you can read the SC cooling temperatures.
Another symptom is that the car performs better when cold but that's quite often the case especially if you live in a warm place.
