Talked to Mercedes and got some more information.
They have one head on now and will be starting the second one shortly.
There is no break-in procedure for these cams.
There will be no need to have the valves readjusted after a few hundred miles. He said AMG uses a hybrid valve system and explained it in full detail, but I can't remember anything he said.
He said keep the same oil in the car until my next service a, which is a few hundred miles out and then they will change it.
He said I can come by at anytime and watch the progress. He said with any luck, they should have it done this afternoon.
I told him that I wanted him to take it for a long drive to test everything out and he replied with "Why don't you come down and take it for a few laps, then we can lift it back up and check for leaks."
Laps, I thought? After thinking about what he said, I did a little research and found out that MB has access the Naperville City test track that is behind the dealership. Sweet!
Though not a race track, it still gives me a place to test her out.
Damn I wish I had friends so they could go along for the ride....sucks being in a new city.

I went by the dealership.
It appears as if my HEADERS SHRUNK!?!?!?
They had to do some magic, so hopefully they got the second one on.

Ok, my cams are installed. Pics soon. Unfortunately I have an exhaust leak that isn't so obvious. I got it last week. I won't be able to play with the car yet.

Yes, as 1Fast stated, I do have a before dyno and I did take pictures. The dyno run that I'm going to use for comparison is the 355 one. I have had one higher (which was the latest), and a few with lower numbers.
Thanks for tuning in!

Update
MB has stated that the car is running like crap. They have checked numerous things, including the cam sensor, crank sensor, timing chain, cam installation, etc. As of now, it appears as if the cams are not the right ones for the car. On Monday they will replace the Schrick cams with the OEM cams and attempt to restart the car. If the car runs fine, then Schrick will be owing me a refund.
They are not going to touch the car until Monday.

Jerry, i am sorry that this project has taken a turn for the worst...this is the exact opposite of what we all wanted to see happen...
i am continually racking my brain trying to think of anything else that they can check(in fact my wife is getting tired of hearing about Jerry's car, LOL!)...but it sounds like from talking to you that they are actually trying to figure out what is going on and not just blame it on the cams...
i am still hoping for the best...i think that they have narrowed the problem to two variables of what it could be...i am as anxious as you are for monday to get here now...
i am also interested to see how joe's car runs once they get the exhaust issues worked out, hopefully that will be monday as well...
i am looking forward to finding out some answers...it eats me up inside not being able to figure something out...

Jerry, Erick, I spoke to the MB tech and I told him to check the following.
1. Vacuum Leaks
2. Bent pins in ECU
3. CAM position sensor passanger head front
4. Correct side CAM installation
5. Alignment of CAMS with cam alignment tool. The tool MUST be flat on the head.
6. Make sure Crank was 40 degrees after TDC
7. One tooth off on cams can cause misfires
If all else fails, replace aftermarket cams with original cams. See how it runs.

i know who is going to be doing the work on my car in the future...
from talking with Jerry this morning, it sounds like the tech checked all of those things you listed, unless the crank was not 40 degrees after TDC...i don't know if he checked that, maybe Jerry can chime in...
i think they are going to put the stock cams back in and see what happens on monday...we will see

Yup, as far as I know, they tested all of that.
Erick, Sunil, and Joe - Thank you all for your help. I'm not going to worry too much about the car. They can keep it as long as they need.
