The way some of you talk, it would seem that you have never owned a very fast car. 360rwhp is fun, but its not fast, its quick.

Anyway, good luck with your new car. If anyone is looking for a 335, SB Auto group has a bunch of them that they cant seem to sell

Depends on the car, I believe the Mitsu FQ360 does 0-60 in 3.9 and handles like it's on rails.

Watch the video posted above. 335 will almost handle the c32 in stock form. C32 is moving down the food chain quickly.

Obviously 360rwhp can be fun in the right car.

Man, this sounds like a compliment to the C32 given it is a 6 year old design. Personally, if I was to spend 50% more money for a car, I would be looking for much more than "almost handle". That is unless driving new car and/or trying something different is very important to you, and/or if a manual is your thing. Enough reasons for some, I suppose.

Really curious about how well this new high revving V8 will do on the new M3...

Agreed. Pricing being equal, the 335 may have a slight edge. And the edge is probably "slight." But with a low mileage C32 at $25k, and a 335i at $42k, it's a no-brainer, at least it was for me.

I considered this change as well.. but decided to wait for either the new C63.. or M3 sedan.. I am not that hip on the new BMW look, but some spy pics of the new M3 sedan look interesting.

I was actually coming up behind a new 3 series coupe and was thinking, man that is one fugly looking car, then realized it was a new bmw.. The sedans look much better IMO.. I would take a CLK550 in a heart beat over the 335.. That is one impressive ride. Took one for a test drive a month ago and was seriously impressed with the power.. They money factor on a lease was pretty amazing too..

i test drove the 335i (e92) before and the power and handling was just amazing!
personally, i think the coupe looks much better than the sedan. i'd choose the w203 over the sedan any day. however, the CLK isn't a bad alternative either.

335i is nice. I would go for the sedan as I like the rear of the sedan better with those smoked Euro taillights (must have if you have a sedan). The only down side for the 335i is that it cost too damn much because with that money and a little more you could get yourself into the soon-to-come 535i.

As far as performance numbers I've seen. Seems like most people with the 335i manual are putting down similar numbers to the stock C32 to the wheel, so it's very possible that the HP rating BMW claim is underrated for the first time.

Just read R&T.... don't think that I'd fall in love w/ the new M3.... torque is quite weak (same as 335i )... HP peaked at 8200-8300 RPM?

I can see on race track high rev may shine.... but day-to-day driving? I don't know about that....

Dude, you have a C32--?? I don't even understand where your comment comes from. I believe 349HP < 360HP.

And your comment about SB Auto, I don't know what dealership that is, but I know 4 - not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 people who live in New York (2), New Jersey and Connecticut who are WAIT LISTED for the 335. In fact, all have said that they didn't get much off the MSRP because the dealers are selling them VERY WELL and aren't willing to bargain, if you want look up the number of sales for the 335 - and compare it to the C350 or Audi 3.0, and once again you'll see why the BMW 3-Series will continue to be the best selling car in that class.

Where do people get these stories?

Rear design seems to suggest that designers were arguing, could not reach consensus and randomly took bits and pieces from all alternative designs... Other than that, I actually do not mind the latest body design change (exterior only).

335

I dont think the bmw's are ugly at all. i really dont know which one i like better, it depends on color and mods. anyway with the price of a new 335i i would get a 2003+ E55 under warranty, ofcourse. I really dont know how u can pass that up. I have seen a stock E55 run a 11.9 on the 1/4 mile, and beat a heavily modded 03 cobra.

Get what stories?

A. I drive by the dealership numerous times a day, and see them sitting there. WTF do you want me to tell you. I can read...Its says 335

B. The C32 is my 36th car. I go through cars like you change your underwear. I have owned many cars with over 500rwhp and have driven into the 10s and 11s at the track with many of them. I bought the C32 as a family car lol. Just yesterday I checked my payoff to see about going with an E55 as the prices are looking good. So I have a bit different perspective on the 335 power output. Want to check out my last two cars, both 11 second runners, go here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/code3smith

Look, who cares. I already stated, if the guy likes it, then great. Its always nice to get a new car. I just dont think the 335 is anything special, at all...But thats just my opinion.

By the way tee_tz. Talk about telling stories. Do me a favor and go to autotrader. Look up the 335i. 244 matches, new and used. Some dealerships state over 9 in stock lol For 45k, I think I will pass, thats laughable.

So I guess when you drive by Mercedes-Benz/Audi/Nissan/Toyota you see no cars in the parking lot? LOL... Seriously, think to yourself, if there's 244 new and used 335i's, don't you realize those Harvard Graduates who now work at BMW knew what they were doing when they increased supply to meet demand? I mean seriously - think it about. The world's largest luxury automaker, don't you think they understand the demand for the 335 much better than you and I? Seriously, those Harvard Graduates - the ones actually in the industry, not us spectators, the ones actually doing the numbers.

Actually I bath twice a day, so that 60 pairs of underwear in a month usually (and 60 > 36). Plus, I got a walk-in closet, so I've never counted but I don't repeat for like 5-6 months. But that's great you go throw cars that quickly. That's not really my style - cars are super, but a waste of money, as they only depreciate, so I'd rather invest in other things than buying a car every 2 months or something -- unless I was rich, in that case I'd be buying S65's not C32's (no offense to any C32 driver). But hey, enjoy!

And by the way, the most ironic thing is when people talk about how much the 335 cost - not worth the money - blah, blah, blah! BUT It's unbelievable that they don't realize it cost less than the C350 (versus 335i Sedan) and CLK350 (versus 335i Coupe). I mean, at least the BMW gives 300HP/300Torque, much better than the Benz's -- therefore in that theory, the CLK350 and C350 are completely useless! Everybody should just get E55's and C32's!

Go to the W203 Forum (us regular, cheaper C-Class people - lol), there's a guy quotes $45,000 for a new C350 -- I guess that's laughable?!
