B. The C32 is my 36th car. I go through cars like you change your underwear. I have owned many cars with over 500rwhp and have driven into the 10s and 11s at the track with many of them. I bought the C32 as a family car lol. Just yesterday I checked my payoff to see about going with an E55 as the prices are looking good. So I have a bit different perspective on the 335 power output. Want to check out my last two cars, both 11 second runners, go here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/code3smith

Look, who cares. I already stated, if the guy likes it, then great. Its always nice to get a new car. I just dont think the 335 is anything special, at all...But thats just my opinion.

You're a chimp.

36 cars, wow, hold on while I go fetch your medal for "Most negative equity thrown into mustangs and 300Z's."

Don't come here with that attitude man, nobody wants to hear what a hero you think you are. Wow, you had cars in the 11's. I'm friggin shocked. Seriously.

So what he has 36 cars... ?? But if you're questioning everything, so who cares what you think as well. The fact of the matter is we're just discussing this topic as we think.

On my part, I felt was just contradicting. People say the 335 is expensive, but it's cheaper than the C350/CLK350, therefore, I'm just curious what they're point is.

45k is not expensive for a car that most experts are comparing to the outgoing M3. Sorry, but its not. 36 cars and he still doesn't know much about the way they're priced. Oh wait that's because they're all bought USED.

+1 Seriously, I mean, I'm not one to try and toot my own horn, but it seems everyone is trying to go against me because I'm defending BMW's. Yes, you can have 50 cars that equate less to an .... ... M5, like Cylinder Head

That's probably the best "point" made yet. I think others were compairing the C32 to the new 335i.
I haven't looked myself, but if what you say is true about the C350 being more than a 335, then that should be a no brainer. 335 all the way. But, maybe that's just me. Either way, so what.lol

LOL!!

I'll tell you what, $45 is not a lot of money for that car. It's priced accordingly, because when you take what it's capable of and you take the price of the competitors, which is more and equal to it, I don't understand what people are complaining about? Buy the 328 then if you can't afford it. But bang for buck, C-Class/CLK and 3-Series, the 3-Series blows them away! So sorry mate, I just don't get what this discussion on price is.

Otherwise wait 2 years and buy a used 335 for cheap.

No, I'm not comparing a 335 to the C32, no way. I wouldn't compare the C350 to the old M3. It just doesn't make sense. All I was defending is the price, people seem to say it's not worth that money, but I'm saying then the C350/CLK350 isn't either.

Okay, I've said enough. End of conversation. I realized I didn't even give a good Congrats to the owner! You've got your 335 -- post pics dammit! Good ones, since I've been here arguing it like I'm trying to pass it to a board of directors. lol j/k.

if 45k is too much for a 335i. you can always get the base model + tax without discount for:

MSRP $38,900
Options and accessories $0
Destination charge $775
Total price as built* $39,675

LOL

That wasn't even the beginning of a personal attack. Not a preamble. I didn't even fire a warning shot across your bow.

I just wanted to jab you off your high horse and into the mud. Mission accomplished.

Congrats & Good Luck!! I didnt like the new 3series at all when i first saw it...then again i prefrerred the old benz style to the w203 at first too (the dealership i bought my c32 couldnt get enough "older" benzes to sell at that time as everyone still seemed to want the more "traditional" body style). But, like most well thought out designs they tend to grow on you. The new 335 is one very nice looking car. As for the fact that it ain't an M/AMG....well it isnt, but neither are the new w203 WITH the same damn AMG Skirt package! So what! If it makes YOU Happy(/ier) then it was the right choice! I have had the ESP engage too quickly and had "lesser (??)" vehicles walk me (ok, ok at least for the first little bit! hahahaaaa).... A vehicles success in my books is guaged by the size and number of times it puts a smile on the drivers face.... (oh.... and that of the women near you at the lights! )

The CLK550 blows away the 3 series.. no contest IMO.. Yes it's 10k-15k more.. but the money factor is really low.. I bet the lease rates would be almost identical.. The money factor on a 335 lease is not nearly as good..

382 hp @ 6,000 rpm Net Torque 391 lb-ft @ 2,800 - 4,800 rpm (CLK550)

Just did a comparison.. the CLK550 with 5k down would be about $680 a month. The BMW similarly equipped was $600.. For the added HP 80 bucks a month seems worth it.. Just my two cents..

hmm. is that possible?

CLK550 base $55,675 - down $5,000 / 60 months = $845. that is with 0% interest

but you like you said, if it was only $80 bucks difference..I would pick the CLK550 too

The CLK550 isn't compared to the 3-Series. It's compared to the 650i. Hence the price isn't anywhere near the 3-Series. CLK550 starts at $55K; 335 starts at $40K.

Why does our math not add up people:
CLK550 = $55,675 - $5,000 (down) = $50,675 / 60 (mo. financing) = $844
335i = $40,800 - $5,000 (down) = $35,800 / 60 (mo. financing) = $596

That's a considerable savings - remember that's no interest. Don't try and cheat! Look at ya'll trying to fabricate the numbers!

Those are purchase numbers.. I was talking about a lease.. The money factor on leases for the CLK550 are really low because they don't sell a lot of them.. Whereas the 335's are selling in high volume so they stick it to you..

TZ.. I am talking lease.. Wouldn't you rather lease a CLK550 for almost the same amount as a 335? I would.. I am not cheating as I have priced both and driven both.. I was seriously considering a change a couple of months ago.. Luckily the urge to buy is gone now.. Holding out for the next generation of AMG/M

There's no way in hell you can get a CLK550 for $80 more than a 335, the price difference is $10K. Think about it, it doesn't make sense. In fact, I think MBUSA.com has a special lease price on the CLK350 for $499 per month and BMWUSA.com offers the 335 for $509 per month. Therefore, a CLK550 would be minimum $699+.

I mean, if that were true - not only would people not buy the BMW 335 (cause heck, I'd get the CLK550 over it), but people wouldn't buy the CLK350!
