I just got back my SB because one of the 5 pins broke off causing the throttle response to malfunction. Other than that i've had no problems.
Anyways i have the BDD 451A1 version, can anyone who's had the A1 version and switched to the new A2 "AMG" version tell the difference between them? Thanks.

I'll let you know as soon as I get my car back. It is only "AMG specific" in the sense that it is less mild. It was tamed down to address the limp mode issue. If you haven't experienced it, I wouldn't switch. I am looking foward to trying it out. The throttle response is obviously poor without the booster, but I wish it was a little softer than with the 4141A version. Hopefully the A2 is just right

I just installed the A2.... it makes the throttle more responsive, and the initial lag between flooring the pedal and anything happeneing is greatly reduced, there is still a little bit of a pause.

It is not a severe a change as I was expecting, but an definite improvement none the less.

My god you are quick with the mods!!! I still have not installed the asp pulley yet lol

Should I get one steve? Is it worth the expenses?

BTW my stock c32 pulled 195rwkw on the dyno that many pple claim it reads 10% lower than the usual.

Yeh I think it is for sure ... its not a rediculous difference, the main thing you notice is that it seems to have a lot more mid range nip to it.

Hey also 9krpm I got my resonator cut out last week, thats definatly worth it. The guy wanted to charge me over $100 for the 2.75" stainless pipe, but I found it on ebay, the seller is from sunnybank, QLD, and sells the pipe for $25........ if you are going to get your resonator done, buy the pipe from him, and then its only $40 to get it installed.....much more reasonable

To recap:

the A2 model is for AMGs with at least some minor engine mods (e.g. pulleys)? or even stock AMGs?

Anyone with the original A1 and new A2 care to chip in with their feedback?

I had the A and it would throw me into limp. I now have the A2 sitting on my coffee table. I'll let you know as soon as I check it out.

Thanks steve. Sunnybank is not too far away too
I will probably leave the exhaust alone. I never like noisy car unless there is some power gain to compensate for the noise.

BTW I tried to get Three Star to install my pullies last service. They claimed that the belt for the ASP (which doesn't come with one) is missing and stated on the service invoice that Chrysler would not endorse this fitment as it has resulted in failures in the past They did not even bother to wash my car either. Guess I know where to avoid for service next time.

I installed the A2 (the "AMG" booster version). I think it is just right. It isn't as jumpy as the A ("automatic") version, but is still enough to make the car easily kick down gears.

I'm not sure if it solved the limp mode issue. I would only see it when it was cold outside. It was warm this weekend.
