It's probably in the Manual, but I'll ask here. Oil fill.

I changed the oil/filter last night, and did the "test" to see if it was full enough. The message said something about servicing the car at its regular interval. Does that mean oil level is OK? I put in about 7-1/2 quarts.

Out of curiosity, when you measured, did the system give the following prompts?
1. make sure the car is on level surface....
2. measuring oil level....
3. [results of measurement]

i remember asking this question when i first got my car, the car usually needs to be driven a few miles first, then it will give you a reading...or something to that effect...

Woot, first post for me.
All you really need to do after you change the oil, fire it up to let the oil circulate. Then shut it off. If the engine is warm, it usually takes 5 minutes, if it's cold, it could take about 15-20 minutes for the oil to settle, and then it'll give you a reading.
