You can have mine for $20,000 and see it in person in Los Angeles. 2003 C32, 48,000 miles. Extended warranty until December 2009 or 100,000 miles. It will be traded in the first week of May for my new car. Status of mods will be zero. Back to bone stock. This is about what the cars are selling for at auction.
seller on cas.com may be legit, but don't know about hte craiglist one.
the owner was a member here or c32life.com from long time ago. the car is indeed in SoCal. There are 2 C32s with the LM and that's one of them.

the "used" c32's are a bargain for the new buyers. Resale really sucks for an otherwise great vehicle. I find the problem to be that most looking for a "sport / performance" vehicle think BMW or Porsche, rather than AMG. I also experienced a very in-elastic demand for my c32. This makes it very hard to guage the true value, which i believe should be much higher than $20-25 range.

I agree. Loosing 40,000 in depreciation over four years really sucks. I believe one problem is that MB makes just too many cars with an AMG badge so they are really not exclusively special anymore as the market is saturated, many of these cars going to non sport enthusiasts.

Good thing you have started leasing so a bank can worry about its value and not you. No car holds its value any longer. Its just the way of the market. The C32 had a rough time in value. Every single Mercedes that was a hot rod version of the c-class or 190E (W201) flopped in value. It is just how it goes when you make a version of a car that costs 2x as much as the same car with just a smaller engine. My C36 was impossible to sell back in 2002 and it was in totally perfect condition and it had but 54k miles in 7 years. I got 21k for that car and MB made only 1200 of them over 3 years.
I think it is very sad to see a C230k coupe has a trade in value of about 12-13k and a C32 has a trade in value of just 19-20k. This really shows that the big fancy version of a car always falls the hardest and the cheapest is the best to own as far as depreciation goes.

Let me put it in a bright(er) side.... the relative depreciation seems to be about the same
Brand new: C32 did cost >50% of C230K coupe
Now: C32 did sell >50% of C230K coupe
LOL....

try almost $65 Cdn in my case!! i agree with the loss of "exclusivity" ... the other thing is that i couldnt see the c32 going into an area where it would eventually level off AND appreciate in the future (as "usually" the porsches do)Originally Posted by smgC32

Hi,
The car condition is excellent, no damages, clear title and it's located in Santa Rosa, CA in my garage.
For the moment i'm in New York, i'm a commercial real estate broker, but i'll do my best to make a smooth and fast deal with you.
We have 2 options here. The first one is to set up the deal terms and meet for the pick up or I can manage to get the car shipped to you. This is your decision.
If you're interested in buying this car i'm waiting your reply so we can discuss the deal terms. It would be great if i could have your phone number in case you decide to buy.
Thanks,
Kevin

He is trading the car in on his new 335i in about a week and a half. The car should be here by the end of the month so that is the time frame on the sale. He is offering the car to a private party for the same price that the dealership will give him. Originally Posted by Eurowow

So if there is an interested party they need to close the transaction by the end of the month.
20k is a good deal I think but its a 100% STOCK car as of today!

Sounds too much like a Nigeria deal.... the car is at such and such place... I'm not here at the moment.... get the deal terms first (ask for your name, address, phone numbers, email, etc. etc. etc.). And at the end, he will just disappear and you're at risk of getting your identity stolen or getting yourself spammed w/ emails and letters.Originally Posted by davidbho

Ask if the price is right and tell him to go back to Santa Rosa to do the deal in person. I'm sure he won't answer. If he says he will and you actually meet him, let me know and I'll stand corrected

the second link from cars.com already shows that the car's in Alhambra at a local used car dealership www.Apexautonet.com.
I can probably swing by the next time i'm near Alhambra.
