C55 rev limit in park?

While diagnose a slight rattling underneath the car today (turned out to be a loose nut), I noticed that when I have the C55 in "Park", I cant seem to rev it past 3-4K rpm, feels like its limping when reaching 4k rpm. Does this happen to anyone else? I mean the car behaves normal and drives ***** out till red line in "Drive". Is this a safe measure on AMG?

It is a normal feature on all MB's. The rev limiter is set at approx 4000rpm when in park or neutral.

It's normal, but not a specific feature of an AMG

"One Man. One Engine."
Fairly common now on later model cars since 2000.
