50k in mods on a C32

Has anyone seen this? (Prolly) I was just surfing and ran across it. I particularly like the flared fenders,... they don't look flared being the attraction. The guy says the performance mods are putting more than 465 horses on the ground (nice). The rest of the stuff reminds me of an Aunt who showcases her thousands upon thousands of little ceramic animals and figures all over her house,... tacky!

Could be just me, but that seems a bit much.

Never quite understand the guy who feels the need to rope off his car in its own "special display."

i dont think he has done many engine mods, he's got NOS in the car that give it an extra 100Hp. but personally would not put NOS in my car. its an easy way to reduce the life of ur engine.
But his wheels look nice i wonder what kind of whees they are?

He said estimated hp was 440, not sure whether it was at crank or wheels.
50k in mods but picked the tackiest grille ?

Oh yeah,... now I see the bottle. Man,... I thought he was getting that power from real engine mods like performance cam, headers, increased S/C pressure,... etc. I agree, horses in a bottle is a little detrimental when it comes to the health of your engine. I second the nice wheels also.

One thing I noticed,... his S/C unit has a plaque for the builder's signature. Mine doesn't. I wonder if my engine was produced BEFORE AMG started handbuilding the engines?

Huh? That makes absolutely no sense. Your engine should ABSOLUTELY have the signed plaque if in fact it is an AMG. They've always done this.

ericpd - that's because yours is a 2002...AMG started the signed plaque thing in 2003. If you really want one, go to ebay.de and search for "amg motorplakette".

Regarding the OP... not my cup of tea, but again, to each its own.

Someone mentioned this on the forum before, so there has been a batch with no plaques it seems.

I have an early 02 with no plaque.

I never understand what people have against nitrous. When used properly, its very safe, stable, and fun I wouldnt mind a small 50 shot on my C32. Now that I finally got my stage 1, maybe its time for a little more extra ooopmh

That's no E man. Look at the headlights,... it's a one-piece (no metal separating the main and sub lighting cups! Besides,... he says it's a C32. Nothing else had the 3.2 kompressor other than the C platform roadster (I believe), and it sure ain't that!

Nah, I'm not plaque challenged or anything. I just wanted to know if it meant my engine wasn't hand built as advertised! That's all! It is empressive however when you pop da hood,... but not essential! LOL!

I think the car is pretty sick. On page 2 he says hes got Evo Stage II with a N2O sprayed intercooler, headers with race cats and all, custom Evo ECU, plus he has a NOS setup (he says he has a Venom bottle but the bottle looks like NOS to me...not that it makes a difference). I can definitely see him having 465hp to the wheels with maybe a 75/100 shot.

Yeah, you guys are all too p*ssy, NOS ain't such a big deal. Its the cheapest way to get 50-150hp. Instant results, extremely low parts and labor, and it fufills all of your Fast & Furious dreams. Just make sure you get it done right, don't spray too long or use a higher shot than the car can handle.

Yes, the drifting pic is an E-class, not the C32.

I generally like what he has done to the car like how he painted the engine parts and his custom interior...

After looking at it again,... I think it's an even balance between 'just the right touch' and 'overkill'. Some of the mods make me drool and dream, and some remind me of fur on the dash board and tassles streaming from the radio antenea. Sorta like what you get when a pimp-mobile humps a finely tuned DTM racer.

It is nice though,.... and there's a lot of envy oozing onto this keyboard, that's for sure.

I don't see 3" flares
And to me the rims look cheap, they don't look "custom" by any means, but over all the car is nice, except for that god awful grille

My '02 didn't come with the plaque either, but you can actually order them from oempartsdirect with your VIN and they'll order it from Germany and have the proper signature for you engine.

I haven't order it since I couldn't figure out what the "optional with" thingy is, they're both around $30ish from oempartsdirect. Also, on the engine that came with the plaque, the charger actually has a platform for the plaque and mine don't...
