Check Engine Light..Help
My check engine light just popped up, no error codes or malfunctions, and the car still runs strong, need to know how to clear this or find out whats up. Where is the computer plug located so I can determine whats wrong.
Thanks

Check engine light
OK found the spot to hook up, and no codes are thrown. Guess my reader is a little old, going to shop to see if they have one.

where to check error codes - check engine light is on

All OBDII hookups (in the U.S. at least) should be under the driver's side dash somewhere. On the C32, it is right next to the hood release behind a little door.

found it - thanks
Found the door. Hooked up my OBDII reader but got nothing but an error. Anything special about Benz/c32? Have used reader many times, but never on my car before. Runs like a champ, just curious why the light came on a day or so ago.

Oh wait, that would be an AMC, not an AMG

turn key to position 2 in the ignition switch? if it still doesn't work, try using another scanner at a local AutoZone, it's a free service.

You can always just disconnect the battery...thats free...assuming there really is no codes.
As long as state inspection isn't due anytime soon...as you'll need to drive around to get all the OBD monitors set to ready.
