Completely unknown. Unlike American automakers, it does not appear that MB has made any sort of breakdown of colors and options available to the public. I don't think anyone is even sure exactly how many C32s were imported to the U.S. each year. The most commonly cited number is just under 1,000 for 2002 C32s but I don't know how accurate this is.

Informally, I can say that desert silver isn't common but isn't as rare as white or red either. The majority are silver or black.

I've only ever seen obsidian black or brilliant silver. To be honest, I'm not a fan of desert silver (champagne) at all.

Slater's white/merlot sounds great though.

Yes, I love it. I consider myself lucky to have found it given that low mileage cars are getting so rare now, you really can't be too picky on color. It gets a lot of complements because you see so few white W203s (much less C32s). I think white really accentuates the car's lines. The two-tone interior is also neat. I really wanted that too and, again, not many C32s have it.

I don't have a problem with the champagne color. I don't know if I'd own one but at least it harkens back to the '86-'87 190E 2.3 16v. Those were either champagne or black.

i agree as well, desert silver never bolonged on a sport sedan. one thing it does is makes a sleeper car even more sleeper.
