New Owner C32 :-)

Hi everybody.
I just moved to Seattle from the UK. I've been here just 5 weeks but tonight got my priorities sorted and picked upa Black 02 C32.
I think i got a fantastic price- $17999 from a Dealer. has 78k on the clock and is pretty mint all round. No Nav but most of the other essentials.

So it was cheap and i expected a few problems, but was prepared for that due to the price.

After about 45 mins on the Freeway i nailed it and there was nothing there. tried again and the same. 5 minutes later power was back. off freeway and from stoplight and it was at full power.
From reading a few threads looks like it could be the I/C pump?
Does that sound right and what is the price to replace at Merc dealer?

Gearchanges seem a little clunky and at low speed seems to hiccup a little in the box. more threads seem to suggestion contamination in the fluid in the Trans. Sound right?
can i just get a transmission fluid change for this and do i need to change the Rad to stop further contamination?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
I sold my CLK 55 in the UK and am thrilled to have a C32 for something different :-)

welcome to the forum.

$5-600 to replace i/c pump from the dealership usually.

while fixing the i/c pump just have them test for gylcol contamination.

Welcome to the club. What frank said is right, just do that...

C32's usually have clunkey shifts though, so it could just be the car.

Congrats on the ride. Good luck with the repairs, and post pics when you get a chance.

Hmm, that sounds worrying...

So many problems huh, sounds worrying. i'll keep my fingers crossed for her then.
The car is in the with Merc today, they toldme they could find no contaminants in the box and confirmed the I/C pump.

looking forward to getting it back tomorrow.

I will do some reading on here and see what's what but i think i bought it at a nice price so feels like i have a few $$ in the bank before i get to annoyed with her :-)
