Looking for cheapest ODBII datalogging usb device..

Hey Guys,

Coming from the suby world, had an 04 WRX, Stage 4 w/Meth Injection, I had a ODBII usb datalogging cable, and used a program called ecuexplorer from tactrix. Just picked up an 02 AMG, and looking to do the same thing for some baselines before I mod. Looking for a cheap cable that does "the works" and what the best program is to use for the c32. I know the suby program was specific, so I'm sure its the same for the c32. I'd love to hear about any different types of programs if they exist.

Also looking into a dvd unit that can display gauges based on odbii info. I've never been down this route before, but if I can get that displayed on a dvd headunit, that would be awesome as well.

Appreciate any info, or anything for me to run on and google up. Thanks guys.

Tom

>$200 from any national parts retailer. Actron brand is widely available. Nology, www.nology.com/pdadyno.html has a loyal following.

Watch for massive knock retard and high IATs when you first get it connected.

Have you had a chance to look at any data yet? OBDII logging is very informative.

If you have not already installed TopGun32’s pulleys, would you kindly share applicable before & after figures with us?

I would be most appreciative.

Thats good to hear. It took me a while to decide who I wanted to go with. I found the laptop power cable I will be installing the software at work so I can start testing tonight. Very excited.

It doesn't look like there is a display that comes with the scan tool. What are you planning on using to see the information? I'm interested in MSD's Dashhawk since it can display the info.

It plugs into a laptop or pda.

The dashhawk is cool. I had the Scangauge 2. Same idea. But neither of those offer the kind of features I was looking for. Plus, I dont want something plugged in all the time. I bought the package for specific testing, not for day to day monitoring.
