Rear window does not come up with one push anymore?

Hey guys,

The rear drivers side window will not go UP with one push like it used to. It goes down with one push no problem. Is there a setting to disable the one push that I may have turned on? If not wheres the first place to diagnose.

Thanks

Solution

Seriously. Try it.

I think I've seen this before. I believe that if you hold the switch down (or up in this case) for 10 seconds it will reset, and re-enable the one touch up/down.

Give it a try.

You need to re-sync and 1Fast is right on the process. Don't ask if you are going to doubt.

The guys are right.

Go the the door where the auto-up is no longer working. Roll down the window using the window button @ that door. Roll up the window using the same button. Once you get it to the top, hold the button in the up position for about 5 seconds. This will sync your window and you will be able to roll it up or down automatically from the driver control panel.

Hi

Hi,

2 things this could be, 1) If you have removed the battery, or the car has suffered a flat battery, then usually all the windows need re-programming, or 2) the window is suffering an electrical fault, which means 1 thing, goodluck, as electrical problems an a w203 AMG - Nightmare !!

I have owned my C32 for 2 years now, i have spent ££££'s on fixing this car, electrics is just another 1 of the many problems these car's suffer, dont forget they are getting old now!

I dont know whether you are friendly or a regular with your local Mercedes dealership, but 2 b honest if you are, they will probably fix the 1st issue (simple re-programme) for free anyway.

Try visiting your local dealership, you will be surprised !!

Haha yeah it worked - I thought you were joking... holding the button would be equivalent to just putting up the window.. Appreciate the info!

Hi Guys, I was hoping some one could help me with my problem. My driver side front window's electric up/down has a problem. The Up/Down function with One Push has stopped working and it seems the full open/closed cut out switch is also broken and by that I mean it will wind all the way up and the motor will not stop but keep winding until the gears strip and then it will stop. The same happens on the way down.

Would really appreciate any help.

I always found that when I had my battery drain problem (turned out to be the tv tuner), there were lots of spurious faults that came up like this occasionally on startup, along with sensor faults and gearbox went into limp mode. Once I had cured the drain problem and always have 100% strength battery, they all disappear permanently.

Long shot, but is your battery on its way out?

This works exactly as described! Thank you!

I just tried it on both of my rear windows and now they both will go up/down with one push of the drivers window controls. I did it while at a stop light actually, just rolled the window all the way down using the window control for that specific window and then rolled up and held the button in up position for about 5 seconds after it was closed and it was fixed.

Thats been bugging me for 2 years on my car. Not any more..

Means your window motor is dying and needs replacing, happens to all cars.
