9.5 will not fit up front. There is not enough space between the fender lip and the strut tube for a wheel that large.

You will have to pass.

maybe if you want to stretch the tires out (225/30/19)... just maybe. It'll look like you're driving a go kart with wheels sticking out the sides

a 225 tire will not go around a 9.5 inch wheel and if it did its highly likely it wont drive very well and it will look terrible. THe min size that work well on a 9.5 inch wheel would be a 255.

How about you just get a set of wheels that fit properly? Are they really worth the trouble?

See lets look at this from the stand point of even fitting.

So its a ET 40 and its 9.5inches wide.

Now a 8.5 wheel with and ET of 32 fits fine on the car with a few mm clearance between the wheel and the strut tube -- no fender rubbing with 225 tires. Now lets take that wheel and ad .5 inches left and right of center line and then move the wheel 8 mm closer to the strut tube. Given that before you had maybe 3-5 mm of strut tube clearance with the 8.5 inch wheel the 9,5 inch wheel likely will not even bolt onto the car.

To make it fit you will need to move the wheel 10-15 mm out towards the fender. Now with that happening the wheel likely is sticking out past the lip and the wheel and tire will just tear the body work to bits.

I went down this road with wheels and tires (on SMG's car) and all the wheel testing showed that the ET40 on a 9.5 wheel simply wont fit the car regardless of tire size and spacer.

Its not worth buying these wheels on many levels. A deal can be had on wheels that fit and you will enjoy them much more.

that setup will work with a 10mm spacer in front and a 5mm spacer in the rear.

No problem. They will work fine. Just take the fenders off before driving

I am going to have to disagree on this one

The numbers just do not support that idea. Maybe with stock C32 spings (3 inches of fender clearance) and a very slow driver (no cornering or suspension compression) it will work.

But if you plan to drive and turn that car... it wont work any which way.

Actually he is referring to the 19x8.5 configuration which the OP presented later in the thread. That could work on the 8.5 front wheels but not the 9.5. Still not the optimal solution but

white and whiter
regarding to running the spacer could totally depends on the lip size on these custom wheels.

my advise: spend a little more and buy something that fits.

my friend's selling his DCR that's made for the C32 offset in the classified.

my mistake if he was talking about an 8.5 inch wide wheel. I thought it was still a 9.5 and that made me just scratch my head. You would need CLK black series fenders to fit that wheel on the car.

oops
