Ya those eBay units are definitely not OEM. Don't know off the top of my head what brand is, but if I remember, I'll take a peek at my C55 and see if I can find some markings.

They would fit but they may be softer than the original C32 struts. If they fit a CLK320 then they can't be that stiff. Not sure why they don,t list every W203 platform car since they all use the same parts. Just buy some original low mileage C55 struts for a few bucks, you will be much happier.
i will ask again though...anyone selling a low mileage set of C55 Struts?

Harder to find that you think! I've been generally happy with the C32 struts and how they handle the H&R Sport springs, but I sense that they are a little to lax on the rebound side. There's no way to tell whether aftermarket struts would improve things. Mine are at 42,000 miles, so I can't justify replacing them right now.
OT/PS: Has anyone ever seen / made adjustable strut plates for a C class?

i agree, i have been very pleased with the C32 struts, but mine now have 110,000 miles on them and are starting to get a little soft...
i remember reading somewhere on here that the C55 struts would stiffen up the rebound over the C32 struts...

They stiffen the compression and rebound by alot. I guess I bought the only cheap set about 2 years ago
