Thermotronik Climate Control?
One thing I have always wondered about "climate control" is simply, why cant you control it? Why is it not like a thermostat, where you set it to 70 degrees and the climate is "controlled" to keep it there?
Well I was reading on the C55 and apparently it has this Thermotronik system that does just that. Is that correct, and can someone explain? Or is this just marketing jargon and the climate control is essentially the same as every other car, where the temp you select is essentially a broad estimate of the air temp coming out of the vents.

In other words, you can usually adjust the temp, but its not like a thermostat in your house. Where you set it at 70 and the air comes on as needed. If I set my M3 to 70 degrees and turn the AC on, it won't use a thermostat to say "OK now the car is 70 degrees" and turn the AC off.
Apparently the C55, as I read in some article, uses thermometers to measure ambient and in-cabin air temps to adjust accordingly. Just wanted to see if this was the case, or if its like any other climate control in a car.

Yes, the climate control system in the C55 is like the thermostat in your house. It will automatically adjust fan speed and cooling/heating to reach the desired temparature.

From my understanding on Car A/C, it act differently then House A/C. Once u press the A/C on, the A/C compressor is always on and it use the heat/hot air to balance the interior temperture. Not sure if C55 has the new advance tech to turn off the A/C with A/C on when it reach the desire temp...
