Hi all, Just bought a c32, The seat heaters only heat the backrest, not the base on both sides. Is this normal, or have both my base pads blown?
Can you buy replacement heating pads?
Thanks in advance for your replies

Topic has been covered greatly on the forum. Yes, it should work. If you still have warranty on the car it is covered. Mine was replaced under warranty, they replaced the whole lower part of the seat including the leather cover.
Thanks for your replies, No I dont have a warranty, I bought the car privately from a chap in London. 1 company director owner from new, £4000 of receipts, 56,000 miles, and of course full MB service history. I have read a few posts stating that on the w203 cars with leather, the seat heating element is built into the leather, rather than a separte pad. This of course would make replacement very expensive. On my last car - e46 330d the seat heater pad was separate and could be replaced if needed.
SO what about the c32 - is the pad easily replaceable?
Thanks Al.

hi mate you have just highlighted this issue to me, as i was always uner the impression that just the backs were heated but i am physically going to take ou my drivers seat as my underseat memmory module has gone, i'll let you know as and when, but i am sure that the element could be changed at a good leather trimmers.Originally Posted by Al-c32

I just had mine replaced on the passenger side. It was about $600 for the part and $400 for the labor.
