5.5 AMG badge idea

1987 190E 2.3 16V (W201) mine, 1993 300CE (W124) wife , 1994 E320W (W124) daughter,1995 E320 (W124)
I just put a set on 2009 E550 Sport and turned it into a E55AMG, thanks Folex your the best.

Don't take it personally but why would you pose as though you are driving an E55? If a Neon SRT4 or similar car beats you it will post it beat a E55 not a E550...Buddy if you truely wanted an AMG you should have bought one...everyone has a right to their opinions cause this is a free country but so do people like me...who believes one should be happy with what they choose and not pose as though they drive something else. I don't go putting C63 on my car. Do as you wish but true enthusiast will laugh at you. FOOD FOR THOUGHT

You don't put C63 on your car because its a C32

If you don't own a real _____ (insert name here), don't badge it like it does. I don't wear fake rolex's, or say I live in a big house, because I don't. Badging a regular MB with the AMG logo because you have the AMG bodykit and wheels doesn't mean you have a real AMG, and many people will notice. Just our opinion though, it's your car and drive it how you like it.

Anyway, people in KOrea does this all da time.. Even dealership puts AMG badges on reg cars as well... I think it's ****ed up but most people think it's cool thing to do here...

Worse yet, his is a 2009 model and they haven't had E55 since 2006, so technically, it should be an E 63?????
Next you know he'll be posting qtr mile times of 11.75 at 118 MPH with that thing. I guess if you can't dazzle the motoring public with brilliance of what you drive, you baffle them with

Yeah, that jumped out at me right away!! Why make it older??? But then again, I go back to the days when they were turning 6 cylinder Mustangs into Cobras and Firebirds & Formulas into Trans Ams and V-6 Camaros into Z-28 or SS models. It will never end as long as "poseurs" exist
Nowadays its the EX Civic that is the NEW Si model or V-Tec!!! (or the Lancer Evolucion or the Subaru WRX Sti). BUT why go back three years??? HUH??? Rebadge I say, Rebadge!!

I just had contact with him and yes he is sold out of the 5.5 badges.............for now. He has more coming in a couple weeks, I reserved a set, I think it's a nice touch.
