Chicagoland Pulley Help

I have a set of ASP Pullies that I want to install on my 02. If anyone in Chicagoland can loan or rent me the tool to hold the crank pulley I would appreciate it. Let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Theres a person selling them on E-Bay for 38.00. Check out the E55 site for DIY pullies and here is the link

http://stores.ebay.com/KONIKTOOLS

The tool was only $38 so it was well worth it.

See yeah

PS: I am looking for one to as I just bought the ASP pullies

When we removed the Renntech pulley and installed the LET pulley, we used the end of a ratchet to lock the torque converter and did it that way. The LET pulley is solid and there is no tool that could hold it while we got her tight.

It was easy, but required 2 people.

Ok Chicagoland guys I got the tool in and knocked off the ASP pulley install in less than an hour.

I did everything from the top of the car and did'nt even have to remove the radiator fan.

If anyone would like to install a set them self instead of paying a shop I am willing to loan out the pulley holder.

Hey Punisher:

Just wanted to drop you a line about the ASP pullies. I will be ordering them this week, and was curious about their quality. Do you like them?

I can't see spending 2400 at evosport, espically after I talked to their rep Dale about their software.

Also, I might want to borrow that tool that I sent you the link for, let me know what you think sir.

See yeah

I am going to try to install my ASP pulleys this weekend. I went ahead and bought the tool to hold the pulley off ebay. I am going to try to do the install from the top of the car w/o disassembling everything.

Does anyone have any tips on getting the pulley off? I assume getting the bolt out will be relatively easy but the headaches are going to start when I go to try to pull the pulley off the end of the crank. How bad is it going to fight back? Does anyone have any tips to remove it without taking off the fan and using a puller?

Also what items should I replace while I am in there? Should I replace the belt tensioner and the belt? Do I have to replace the damper bolt or can I reuse the stock one?

Lastly, does anyone know the torque settings for the water pump and idler pulley bolts?

Thanks,
Chuck
