Sold my C32...thanks to many of you during ownership.
When I first purchased my C32, I had some RENNtech upgrades in mind and it made it reassuring to be able to get on this forum to search and listen prior to upgrade decisions. Many thanks go out to members like AMG-Jerry, Fifth Ring and ScottW911. This forum made a world of difference during ownership.
Until my next AMG (there will be another someday), take care and thanks for all the help.

Don't laugh, it's paid for! The pictures are attached and yes I realize it's 180 degree change. Like most of you, I would stress about the miles, parking lots, rain and when my wife drove my C32 (parking curbs with RENNtech springs and CF Lip don't mix). I decided to get a daily driver with 100k warranty, easy to maintain and hauls grocerys and children with a 5 star government crash rating. Incidentally, it rained hard on the way home from the dealer and it got water spotted and muddy (construction area) and I didn't care. Then dump my money into what I always wanted for weekends, meets and track days... an AC Shelby Cobra (1969 replica). I will always have a deep appreciation for anything AMG.
ScottW911,
I would like that very much.. I will keep my account active.
Moosejaw,
No, my car went to Utah and is now owned by a genuine C32 fan, new member of the forum and a great guy all around. I spoke to him today and he say's he will post pictures from it's new home soon.
Take care.

By the way, I know of a sweet 427 replica that will be available in Phoenix soon. It is black and has been pampered since new. It belongs to my wife's uncle. PM or better yet, email me for some info, if you are interested.

I wish I were ready to do something now, it will be about 6 months before I pull the trigger. Thanks for thinking of me though. Buying it from a reputable source makes all the difference.

"Buying it from a reputable source makes all the difference."
Ain't that the truth!
I am the very proud new owner of Stormc32's immaculate C32. What a great car!
I wanted to publicly thank you for making the transaction go so smoothly. The car is more than I could have ever hoped for. Your honesty and professionalism are top notch.
Thanks once again and I'll be posting pics soon!

Good to see you on the forum again. Thank you for the kind words. Clearly, your compliment goes both ways. I am really pleased that your enjoying your new C32. You deserve it. She is a beauty and a beast. Mechanically I am not as inclined as a lot of these guys, but anything I can answer or help with, let me know.
I better change my profile, strangely it looks just like yours.
Let me know.
Scott
The place I bought my C32 sold them, they had probably 10 different colors of all 3 models on display:

They're in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, but their site has a lot of examples of the cars Superperformance builds. If you get one, I recommend the Roush Racing 351 option, it sounds amazing. Then again, you can use pretty much any engine. Maybe try to throw a C32 3.2 in there and see what happens.
The GT40 replica was my personal favorite, but the Cobras were sweet too. Come to think of it, the 356 Speedsters were kind of cool as well. Great looking cars.

StormC32, here is the site of the dealer I have talked to in the past:

I really think the local car is going to be a good one for you though.

I am talking to the folks at Factory Five Racing and a couple local Shelby Cobra shops here in Scottsdale to get better aquainted with the cars before determining anything. The additional websites (provided by you guys) are very helpful. Just like the C32 purchase, I have some homework to do.
Scott, if nothing else I would really appreciate calling your relative and touching on the subject. It just wouldn't be a serious inquiry yet and don't want to waste his time. You think that would be ok to call?

You can drive your self crazy trying to learn everything about the knock-offs. If you are going for new, the Shelby is the obvious no-brainer. There is not one Cobra club member that would give you crap for owning a real Shelby Cobra.
I did not understand if you wanted to talk to my in-law or if you wanted me to talk with him. If you want me to, email me with some of your info and requirements.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant if I could call him. If nothing else to talk shop about Cobra's I have always wanted one. It's just recently getting serious and I have a lot to learn about them. The more people I talk to the better decision I will make when the time comes.
I feel in violation talking about Cobra's on our C32 forum.
I can PM you later this evening with my contact numbers, but if your in-law has time to talk I would rather it was on my dime and you could PM me his.
Thanks very much for the help.
