hold the window up button for 5-10 seconds each...then hold the sunroof button down for 5-10 seconds to program each of the windows on the vehicle...

then the remote will work...

interesting. when i reset the ECU through unplugging the battery (same effect as the turning the steering wheel trick), I always have to reset my windows and sunroof doing that exact same thing so they express up/down again.

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear that. I can understand how that, and this crappy Real Estate market, might affect a few of us out there.

Keep your chin up and you'll get through this, as painful as it may be.

No, because it operates using IR instead of RF. I couldn't stand how close I had to be to open the windows/sunroof. I purchased a mods4cars module that lets me open the windows and sunroof with RF range instead of IR. It also closes my windows and sunroof for me when I lock the car. It is a great mod.

If you don't have an owner's manual you can log into MBUSA.com and go to the Owners Online section. Join by logging in and you can put your car's VIN # in and at that point you should be able to download an owner's manual PDF for that particular car model. I have been wanting to get a manual for my 550 due end of Oct. and I can't get it until I have my VIN which should be any day now. Want to read up on it before delivery to make the SP earn their money and make sure all the features are working when I pick it up.
Thanks for the info mtnbenzer. I didn't know you could download a pdf owners manual from Owners Online.

Who has installed one of these in their car. It interests me, but would like some feedback.

Look at jgsx's post above - he likes it.

It looks like a pretty cool mod to me - using the RF instead of IR to open/shut windows and sunroof, and the ability to set the horn to chirp on lock/unlock is awesome.

So the reason why my horn doesn't work when the alarm is activated is because of the fuse?

No, it's not that simple.
You are looking for what is referred to as the 'Netherlands setting'. There are several links on the C32 forum about it. Here's one.
Once set, it seems that you get the 'chirp/chirps' and the lights flashing.
Some dealers appear to do it free of charge, whereas others charge an hour of labor.

Very nice feature, I love it.....

Most of the current Mercedes models should have it. My brother's 1994 E-Class (oversees) had it as well

I was reading through this and decided to try on my W204. It works! Thanks! I installed a program on my Passat to do this and I loved it.

I have to hold my unlock button throughout the duration of the windows going down...kind of annoying? Do you guys have to do the same? Or do you just have to start it up?
