C32 AMG Known Trouble Spots
Hi folks,
Just acquired a 02 C32 AMG. The car has 52k miles and has 1 year remaining on MB extended warranty. I had a PPI done and it is a clean car. Any advice on known recalls and trouble areas that I should anticipate. Please excuse my ignorance, as this is my first AMG. I have been a lifelong 911 (aircooled versions) owner and never had the chance to learn / research the AMG. So far I have been very impressed by the AMG cars performance and excellent road handling.

It's not junk...it's just misunderstood, hehe. Do a "search" of the Board. You'll find all of the problem areas. Sadly, though there are many, it is a great car, especially with a warranty.

Lets see. replaced air pump / ic pump / Torque Converter / Pulley / harmonic Dampener / Bushings in front / mirrors and head rest malfunctions.
I know the service men by name. But I still love the *** thing.

Rob and Matt, my service advisors at my dealer's service department, are close to me now too. I'm probably going to send them a card at Christmas time. I'm also wondering if it's appropriate to get them a gift? Do you do that or just a card?

Was at Fletcher in Newport about 2 weeks ago at parts department. as I look at the clothing and accs. dept. I notice this early 20''s brunett. She was to die for. I'm engaged, but I ended up buying a polo and getting her to shop for clothes for my fiance. Just said high my fiance is about your size, will this fit her you think? That was the end of that though. Send them a card why not
