Anyone need SL55 Boxes?
The CF intake didn't work out...(not enough room between TB and Firewall)
Anyways, I have the Left and Right SL55 Airboxes, and the Left and Right Inlet Hoses. I don't plan on using them because I prefer to leave the engine cover on.
All you'll need is the Splitter (P/N 113-090-01-29) and hoses for about $100 from OEMPartsDirect.
I paid $250 for these 2 weeks ago and never used them. I did trim the right airbox so it would clear the oil cap on the C32's.
Best offer over $200 takes them. Includes the OEM Air Filters.

You might want to post over on the Crossfire forum. There could be someone there that would take it off your hands. I've seen for myself the difference in the SRT/SLK engine bay vs the C32 and there is quite a bit more room on the roadsters' chassis. Just a thought.

Jerry the lower black plastic section of boxes have a clip inserted in a hole that allows hot air to enter. pull clip and seal it up.

Thanks, I will do that first thing.
I'm going to use these on the dyno next time around along with the C32 boxes for comparison.
Then I'm sending them off for a secret project!

Thats weird for sure. Do you have the SL55 splitter? If you do, you are probably hearing it a lot more because the hood is open. I get the whine inside and outside.

i dig the sound at 1500 to 3000+ rpm while under load.
nehoumia you have stock intake tubes which have silencers that damp the sound.
