C32 TCU Reflash

Does anyone know of a tuner that can flash the TCU on the C32?

What will the reflash do? If someone has "hacked" the TCU, there's a LOT that I would want to improve in how the transmission works.

I'm looking forward to this...

This is almost a "must do" mod for the C32.

will not affect fuel economy...any aftermarket upgrades have the potential to affect your warranty

anyway to keep stock tcu and buy one that has the flash already? Can you provide more detail on this upgrade? I am new. I did something like this to my Audi 2.7T that was Tip. How it helped in this case was to bump up the shift points, I believe it made it hold those shift points longer and it also allowed me to hold 1st until I shifted it. In the Audi before the upgrade it would automatically shift out of 1st into 2nd. The upgrade allowed me to hold 1st gear until I shifted it manually.

Is this in line with what this upgrade provides? I have not really tested tip in the C32 yet but I think it will hold 1st gear in tip mode until you shift it into 2nd so that may not apply here.

I have a spare TCU that I might send in for testing.

I've been saying that my car is acting funny at low RPM's and it seems that it wants to be driven hard. I think I know why...I have a feeling that my IC is leaking water into the car.

The TCUs are prone to fluid contamination. It might be a corrosion issue.

Jerry, can you monitor coolant level on your upgraded system? Coolant should be disappearing fast if yon can feel such difference.

On a different note, I have noticed that on cool mornings when I am easy on the car, transmission would up shift at slightly higher RPM points and that translates to a very smooth up shifts. When car is warm, up shifts happen at lower RPMs and are not as smooth. Any idea...?

Perhaps the re flashed TCU will keep the car in the first (smooth) mode most of the time. Does anyone know if all of the TCU maps are being reprogrammed?

Our TCU is in the cabin area of the car. Where is yours?

My Intercooler is leaking. I'm about 99% sure now. The car is sluggish when I first start it and I'm losing about a cup of water / wetter a day.

Need info

Anyone who has extensive experience with the re-flashed TCU?

Is the new flash upgrade described in more detail somewhere?

Did they change all transmission maps (S vs. W, sporty vs. in-traffic driving). As you know the TCU adapts to driving style by choosing one of the preprogrammed control maps.
