just wondering if a c55 could ever pull a 12 or just under sec 1/4 mile staying NA? with a recent guy pulling a 12.2 with bolt on renntech mods it may seem possible?

i think you would needs some cams in the car before it would do this without any power adders...

If CAP55 can run a 12.2 with those mods i think it may be possible. Throw in an lsd, an exhaust if he doesnt already one, and lose some weight. Might just be able to pull it off.

My friend ran an a 7.8 at 91mph on the 1/8 and 1/4 was at 11.700. BTW its a2006 e55 and i ran a 8.0 at 87mph in a 1/8 so maybe i might break into the
11's with some drags.

Thats the price i got from one of those major mercedes tuners. Its about $1850 for each one and we got 2.

it may happen but it will take a combo of things, we are working on some things now....an 11.9x will take bit more HP right now and just cams wont cut it that I can tell you.

an LSD is needed when the car has a problem with traction, a C55 with drag radials does not have traction problems.

we are looking at cams now but the ones we are pondering are in the experimental stages. Possibly different header designs and dialed in ECU tune. May throw the towel in and go forced induction but not sure yet.

I have reentech ecu,airbox, kleemann headers with complete custom made exhuast, Ams crankpulley, evosport pulleys, & a 50 shot. The only problem is that I am running with some replica brabus wheels and regular street tires. These wheels are a bit heavy. With stock wheels and drags it should give some good numbers.

I'm Glad you looked into the cams. Victor @ VRP has co-developed a new profile set of cams , that so far has picked up over 20 more rwhp next the next best offering from the other major tuners. There is a Dyno sheet posted on the E-55 forums under VRP heads project. There is also a VRP cam Posting in The SL-55 forum. The specs will not be post as for they are proprietory. Cheers ___PTE___

Does that AMS crankpulley make a difference?

I felt more torque due to the engine spinning faster. I really felt a difference but I have not dynoed, only ran at track and saw good results. Btw there is a thread here about the AMS crank pulley.
