Well, i just got back from the dyno and am very excited!

the car put down 347rwhp and 352rwtq!!!!!

just to give you a reference, last two times i was at the dyno the car made 332rwhp and 342rwtq... i gained 15HP and 10TQ over the pulley with NO TUNING! see mods below....

the first time, the change was just the pulley, the second time was with the evo headers, car made the exact same power both times...previous to these two changes the best the car had made was 320rwhp and 308rwtq...

this is with only the LETMotorsports headers, LETMotorsports 185mm Pulley, LETMotorsports Cooling mods and a Renntech Stage 1 tune...stock exhaust with resonator removed...

i am going to get the ECU retuned with Evotech and will expect the car to make more power after this is done...

For us CA residents, what would we expect off 91 octane, and are we going to have any smog check concerns?

how is the LET header different compared to evosport's piece? why would it make 15 hp more?

no smog concerns unless you have to have a visual inspection...and just to add the typical disclaimer 'these are for off-road use only'

91 octane will see less gains unfortunately...sorry CA guys

Well I don't feel so bad. My car made 355 hp and 348 ft/lbs but with a smaller pulley, Renntech 178 mm pulley and 91 octane fuel. But I also have cams and a custom exhaust and upgraded cooling system. Tuning is today so I'm hoping for a little more.

Thanks!

it is still a little lean on top, that is why i think the tuning will help to extract more power...

Nice gains the Tuning should bring out more

I would love to see the graph. Hopefully the power curve tells a better story. Lets be realistic, 15/10 could be anything. Same day, same dyno, same car, stock versus LET would be a better test. We regularly see cars drop/gain 30+hp, same mods, different days. I think we all want a more usable power curve. If they gain the same numbers all the way across the board, then that will be great.

For reference, what is the rest of the exhaust setup on your car?

15/10 over Evosport is a great improvement (without tuning). I lost HP after adding the Evosport headers to my setup.

I don't know many shops that have tested different headers on the same day, same car scenario. By the time you take 4 hours to remove the first set of headers and install the second set, parameters in the shop / dyno area would have changed...just as if you brought the car in the next day.

Considering this is the same dyno, car, setup (other than headers), I consider this test valid and LET's product a success.

Damn you Erick
You took my morning's thunder when I made 325rwhp

Incoming PM to you and Jerry about my datalog! I got the C32
to run at 4th gear (got it to 147mph on the dyno)

i don't remember how lean you were running, but it was creeping up to 13.5:1...obviously too lean, we shall see what the tuning does...

First of all CONGRATS Erick.

you have no idea how much I love ehtusiats going after the so-called big guys and SHOWING better results

I to am curious about the whole curve picture. It seems to me that a 15/10 gain, across the board might have me jonesing for this mod, but if it was just on top, I might wait. Load up the dyno's when you can please, I would REALLY like to take a peak at them

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MY FRIEND!!!

See yeah

i will be the first to admit that the 15/10 could be anything, but the only thing i have changed on the car since the last dyno was the headers...if the car is making more power, what do you want me to say?

it is impossible to do the same dyno, same day with the exact same conditions, it simply takes too long to change out the headers, i should know, i have done it enough times...it is not like changing a set of air filters

and my car has been consistant at the dyno, that is why i keep going back to the same dyno, i am actually dynoing my own car, they let me do this because they can not figure out how to dyno the car without making it downshift...

Exhaust was stated in the first thread, stock except resonator removed...
