Mine is having the heat exchanger replaced right now completely covered by Mercury. They already paid in full for $1200 in ignition work. They are easy to work with and reasonably priced. I bought the $0 deductible platinum plan, which covers almost everything on the car, except of course expendables, like brake pads, rotors, etc.

Mine cost me $50. The previous owner had it and the fee to transfer it was $50. I think he told me it was around $3500 or so for Platinum 100k coverage w/$100 deductible. It pays for parts and labor. All I pay is the deductible of $100.

So, you've saved over $2k having it so far? That means he's still in the hole for over $1k+ on the warranty.

Can you buy this direct or do you have to buy through a dealer. I am looking to add another year to the 2 year benz I have.

Thanks
