New Rims+Brakes
Hey Guys,
I just put an order in for 360 Forged CF, and since they are so "open" I have to get new brakes all around as well, otherwise it would look strange. I got two offers, and just want to hear what you guys can tell me about the two different types.
The first one are;
MOVIT: 6390$
Front, 370x35 mm med 6 Piston Caliper
Rear, 342x28 mm 4 Piston Caliper
Second one are;
StopTech: 7031$
Front, 355x32 4 Piston Caliper
Rear, 328x28 4 Piston Caliper
Are the StopTech more expensive because they are better, or what? Have you any inputs on MOVIT?
Thanks guys/MIDO

You get what you pay for. There is a reason why Brembo is OE on more production cars including the AMG. But if I had to choose between the two I would go with StopTech due to the fact it is the closest to Brembo, and being a US company they would be much easier to deal with if you were to have an issue or need replacement parts.

you CAN get better brakes than Brembo at cheaper price. Rotora, Endless, APRacing are all great Brake manufacturers. Alcon Brakes you can get for Audi are also not as expensive as the Brembo kit in comparison. Brembo's expensive mainly because it's more established than the other brands featuring more applications.

Could not agree more FrankW! After talking to people that race for a living, some are recomending StopTech, some Movit. Since Movit are approved by TUV, and I get 370x35/6 caliper and 342x28/4 calipers compared to StopTech 355/4 caliper and 328/4 caliper, for 642$ less. The choise was not so hard was it!? ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
