Strange noises from fuel pump

Strange noises from fuel pump
I am getting a hissing noise from under the drivers side of the car and all I can think that is in that area is the fuel pump.
Anyone else have similar issues or fuel pump failures?

The noise is definitely coming from the drivers side, right before the rear tire, but under the car....
Is is normal for the I/C pmup to hiss? I don't remember hearing this sound before.

Did you try duplicating the noise with the AC off? I have a strange noise as well but it's probably a leak in the AC system.
Also, is it progressive? Does the noise increase as you speed?

AC was not on....don't think it is related.....sound is coming from behind the driver, under the car.
can't tell if it gets louder.....will not hang my head out the car door while it is moving ;o)
