Getting ready for some simple work......

Not knowing the full service history of the C32 I picked up last week, I'm doing the Mobil 0w40 synthetic oil change in a couple of days (soon as the filter arrives) and switching to the k&n filters. Spring will bring on the real mods....

That's what I'm using currently in my E63. But after that "Oil Question" thread, I'm going to research all the different oil brands out there and see what I come up with

I've run Mobil One 0w40 since I became a MB owner back when I had my 2000 C280. BTW: Nice car.

Thanks.....

I've been using Mobile 1 0W-40 as well for some time now in all my Mercedes especially in C32 and E63 and have not experienced any problems. And I drag race the car once to twice a month and track it twice a year

I will however continue to research the different oil brands in an effort to determine which is the bes oil to use in terms of high performance

It’s wise of you to do its maintenance now. You will have an honest reference for future intervals.

Know you have been around MBW for a while, but let us know if you care for any help or info before you get out in the garage for its service. There are more than a few DIY gents here.

Good luck with those modifications, too.

Yeah, I've been hanging around for some time but haven't posted a lot in recent months. That will change with a different car. Now I'm simply researching pulley and ecu. I had PowerChipsGroup do my last car and was happy with it for the last 3-4 years. Looking for the best bang for the buck and their posted numbers look good. I think the evo (I think that's what my 2000 benz had) was the most noticeable mod though I recall the pulley on the power steering to be a complete pain in removing- the other pulley for alt and water pump was a 5 minute job. I''ll keep searching and reading....

If you check your manual, it will tell you what oil Mercedes recommends for your car.

Mods don't have to be expensive ask the Code3's and LET's what they can do for you ok. Variety in pullies and Tunes doesn't hurt....good luck in the modds!

I think what I'll do is one time track the car with Mobile 1, then Royal Purple, then Amsoil, Valvoline, etc..... then compare the times. I'll look out for how the car is reacting. I would like to find out which oil does the car feel more "comfortable" with even when pushed and stressed. I think that is the only way to really get any real data.

Yes, it may take some time, but I think it'll be worth it
