Part # check and oil leak question..
I notice that my car leaks little bit of oil now days.. Have ya experienced same problem?? Car was serviced by MB dealer 4000 miles ago...
Thanks in aDv...
Time to time i had to use extra amount of force to turn the steering wheel... Hmm.. I may have to check that out tomorrow...
C32 and C55 use the same piece.
140 270 00 91 cover
022 997 22 48 seal
140 991 00 55 locking pin
Last week, I had to get my car inspected so I can register. I think the car inspector accidently dropped it when he was inspect'n the car. It happened to me once when I was removing the airbox to change the filter..
I remember he was looking for something in the engine bay for like 15-20 min.
But that was last week so... I'm sure he will deny it..
Thank you for the part numbers.. Do I have to order all 3 seperate?? I thought the red thing was one piece... (dip stick looking one)
I thought of you and this picture while shopping for Christmas electronics -

…a little different from the states!
All you will really need is the cover and seal. ~$4 MSRP. The lock pin merely serves as visual evidence for MB’s warranty purposes that nobody has tampered with their “lifetime fill” transmission. On second thought, get the pin too. Don’t give them any ammunition to cast blame in your direction.
Yours should be well within its warranty period. A quick visit to your friendly dealer’s service department should easily rectify both the leak and the funky steering. Good luck.

Neway.. I need that..

What suxs is, since I brought my car to Korea, I no longer have warranty for the car. In Asia, W-period is 2 years / 40,000 miles from the manufacture date..

I heard this was a recall from factorY??? Look at the color.. Do ya think this is tranny fluid?? Tranny fluid color is red isn't it (unless benz uses different fluid)?? In person, fluid looked to be more like brand new oil..
