2006 C55 and air filters - Cabin Charcoal etc
Also, I noticed in my owners manual they speak about a charcoal filter filter however it only applies to the Canada model. Anyone use this in a US car and does it help or have any adverse affects?
Thanks!!
Sean
The interior filters are 203 830 21 18. ~$100 for the pair. The standard dust filter is 203 830 01 18. Carbon impregnated is 203 830 09 18. They are interchangeable, although the good one is ~$10 more.

Some people have experienced up to +18 whp
when they removed them and others have experienced only +4 whp. So they probably give anywhere from 4 to 18 whp, I would say +11 whp is a good "average" gain. However, these gains are strictly on the 63 engine. You may experience only half that on the 55 NA engine

203 830 09 18 - Combination $43.40
112 094 06 04 - Filtereleme $58.00
I hope those are the right numbers. However on the box for the 203 830 09 18 the number of the filter in the box was a 203 830 01 18. On the outside of the box the 01 was scratched out and the 09 was written with a sharpie however the box was MB sealed with the stickers on both sides.
Maybe a part number change?
