Dynojet Results

Okay first time on a Dyno and I thought I would post my results. My car is bone stock with 19" rims and a resonator delete. No other performance mods that I know of. however I thought my numbers were strong for a stocker. Did three pulls and let the car cool down between each pull for 10 minutes. I'm hoping some more stock c32's dyno their cars to compare results.

C32 Highest Stock Dyno

Impressive

I think you officially have the highest dynoing stock C32 yet....

306 whp would put you close to 370 crank hp

That's a very healthy engine. Love the factory flat A/F ratio.

Cars and boats!
Great results Drew!!! You've got a strong factory car. Sorry I couldnt make this one. I had to go out and abuse the hell out of the Yammidog on my boat to see if its going to hold up for the next tournament...shotgun starts are awesome!! Anyways, I'll keep an eye on when the next meet is.

I spoke to RENNTech last weekend by the way and I am taking my car to them to install a rear camber kit b/c my "Speedybnz" camber kits are shot and Jeff hasn't returned my past emails so I was unable to get new bushings for it. I think the dealership flashed my ECU back to stock last time I had the intercooler/supercharger replaced so RENNTech is going to reflash it for me.

With stock wheels your numbers would be more like 310 rwhp. Those numbers are 15rwhp or more better than most. That's one strong car.

very nice..

i would check the crank pulley.. just in case is not a modified ASP pulley...
it looks just like stock.

add a heat exchanger and you have a nice little set up with out installing a pulley.

most C32 are around 280+.RWHP

Neihouma has a ASP pulley I'll x check with him
I believe he looked under my engine cover and did not notice anything outta the ordinary. Does it say ASP on it?

We are waiting for O4blackc32 and Turbo 16lbs to Dyno their cars and see how they do. They are stocckers as well

I need to add there has been some speculation, that our cars perform better because of the humidity here in MIA. Not sure if it is true, but may have some validity to it

nothing like a dynojet to give artificially high numbers. If you want a dose of reality dyno on Dyno Dynamics or Mustang dyno to get real world numbers.

No it doesn't show ASP are modified pullies and only the eye can tell you.

Not true! mustang dynos tend to show you lower dyno numbers and I did at one time used a mustang dyno and wanted to laugh at the conclusion...especially since it showed way less then the dynojet and even funnier was my car raced and beat a Pontiac 2000 auto WS6 on two races and easily...so if you want decent to real numbers use dynojet and mustangs...but in my opinions use dynos only to see gains based on mods not gains to the wheel cause if info isn't put in correctly you may have higher dynos or lessor dynos the best way to know approximately the amount is to go to the dragway imo.

By the way I know folks who use dyno dynamics and they come out with higher numbers....dynos are cool but ultimately best for tuning and even that shows gains or losses which I said should be more important.

Agreed on all points. I had my GTO dyno'ed on a Dyno Dynamics and the HP/TQ were insanely high for a stock car. I had the car tuned a month later and the baseline numbers from the Dynojet were ~53 ft/lbs less TQ and ~37 HP less than the Dyno Dynamics and right in line with the averages documented for stock cars.

The 1/4 mile is the one true measure of performance as those numbers can't be manipulated as eaily as dyno numbers.

My car put the most power down on a dyna pak. My car made the least power on a dyno dynamics. The dyno jet numbers are all over the place...one day it made 30whp less than the time before.

I was at the dyno this past Wednesday and Friday testing some things out and there were 15whp differences between runs on the same day!

The dyno dynamics seems to be the most accurate for testing gains between different days / mods.

I have made over 150 pulls in the past year testing mods out. By the end of last year, the dyna pak shop was giving me free dynos because I exceeded their "all you can dyno" yearly rate.

Off my own topic but, can we see pics of that GTO? from your sig it looks awesome. At first I thought it was a Holden, I absolutley love it . I remember as a kid, I saw an ad on TV with (classic rock now folks, for my young age I do know some trivia) Mountain playing Mississippi Queen and there was GTO featured, I absolutely adore that car.

moosejaw - Can you call the dyno shop and ask them for uncorrected numbers for your runs?
