You said nothing about brand change in your post, just weight. Still, there's no reason to change. Mobil 1 is a great oil that many manufacturers use a factory fill. It's recommended my Mercedes, recommended by AMG, and it's the most readily available. Why change? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

well some brands sell a different weight, sorry if i'm not specific. there are some things i don't mess with changing but I feel you can go to a different weight on oil. what do mercedes benz owners do when Ow-40 is no longer produced? they adapt and overcome.

That's my point. 0W-40 is readily available. Do whatever you want since you think you know better than the designers.

How about this,
is there any other c32/c55 owners who run a fluid other than mobile 1 0w-40? Whether its amsoil, royal purple, etc... And why the change.
