Dumb kids!!!

Stupid kids!!!! This has got to be my first encounter with an immature brat in an MB.

I pull out of the parking lot at the hospital I work at today driving down US1 minding my own business as I am approaching a red light. I am barely a car length from comming to a full stop on the marked line when some idiot kid in a silver or pewter CLK500 from the left lane pulls into my lane and I have to slam on the brakes to keep from rear-ending him. Light turns green and he floors it. I trail behind him, get on the highway and he slows down, pulls next to me and floors it...again road is wet and theres traffic in front of us.... he gets up to the car in front of him (which was probably 60ft or so in front of him before he floored it) and slams on his brakes. I get on the other lane so i can roll down my window and ask him WTF is his problem was... he jumps around looking back like a little girl then gets off on the next exit and puts his fingers like he's cutting his throat (probably like one of those your dead signs?). WTF is that supposed to mean? What the hell is wrong with kids today?

I was once a little race happy but never did anything stupid like that. Cut people off on a wet road? weaving in and out of traffic on a wet road? riding up behind someone at high speeds and slamming on your brakes at wet roads?

I hope hes on the forum and posts a "kill story" b/c I really want to chew his *** out!!

Sure you were not in LA Benzo? Sounds like the average person driving a CLK500 around the San Fernando Valley or Beverly Hills. I just roll my eyes and let them act like the little kids they are.

A kid in some yacked out M3 got pulled over by my office last week and these two pathetic looking kids were standing there being chewed out by the cop. They looked so hopeless and about to go cry home to mommy because the police man did not treat them well.

Good move on not getting wrapped up in their junk Benzo!

Just goes to show you, you find them anywhere in the world. For a moment I thought it was just in the hellholes that I've been working in that the people could not drive.

Not deserved in a CLK500 or something. May be he had too much from Gran Turismo Playstation.

The road is never an arcade. He will learn his lesson one day, hope is not in the worst situation.

Yes I agree when kids are driving their beemers and benzos like that you really contradict whether they deserve to drive one. Something almost kinda sorta like that happened to me when I had my C240, I drove it like a snail, because, well its slow.. Anyway I was at a redlight and this kid in a new 530 with music BLASTED with rims was next to me, and I was just hangin, and when the light turned green he gunned it looking back at me to see if I was.. Of course not. What a tool.

I've come to the conclusion that having an AMG sets people off, especially rice burner drivers. In the last week with the C55 my wife has more people try to race her than the previous 18 years in her M5. And the C55 is a stock pewter one no less, not exactly the most intimidating combination of the lot.

I've tried to stay away from these morons... i enjoy a little sprint from time to time whenever conditions allow for it but some of these guys weave in and out and try to force some kinda half *** drag race.

This is the 3rd time I've had someone do this in the past couple of weeks in the South Miami/Pinecrest area. Some guy in a S2000, some guy in a SRT10 Ram, and now this idiot in the CLK500... they all probably go to the same HIGHSCHOOL. I'd expect some sorta decency or responsibility if you were to drive a classy high end car like an MB. I guess you just cant take the ricer out of some people.

They should instal a feature in all AMGs that B*tch slap you if you start being an idiot on the road.

nah I'll bet it is a hand-me-down car and the kid got it since the residuals were so low. Probably was cheaper than buyin the kid a new Camry.

I think everyone should carry a handgun in the car.. If someone acts a fool, show him / her the goods... You don't have to fire.. just wave... it works.

Eeek, I sure hope you're kidding. The words "assault with a deadly weapon" come to mind. I've seen some major A-Hole drivers around my parts with "FF" (Firefighter) plates, and a lot more than once unfortunately. Not slamming firefighters but it is what it is. I'd imagine that police too can sometimes tend towards overly aggressive driving. I'd hate to accidentally wave a gun at one of them, I'll tell 'ya.

I tend to ignore the aggressive losers. Well, strike that. If the opportunity is present, I'll mess with 'em a bit -- as in I won't let them pass me. The C32 is definitely fast enough to cover more distance quicker than your average tool in an SUV, while looking casual. I won't endanger anyone or start weaving in and out of traffic but if there's a gap in front of me and they try to whisk around, I won't hesitate to go to the gas pedal to close it up. That's probably not wise either (I've had some close calls where they've tried to simply shove their way in) but F 'em.

Wow, that's a pretty crazy statement! Ok, I'm not American and I don't live there, but still I don't understand the thinking behind it!?

Is this the way people think "over there"?

(Just to make it clear, I meen no offence to anyone!)

Well, I live in North Carolina and can understand the thinking. I have also lived in Germany (Baumholder) and waited for hours in the middle of a small town while the Polizie cordoned off the town looking for someone that had just killed a cop. Its everywhere. Its not just the US. Germany is the size of Montana. Anyway, I think the statement is a little overzealous.

well, with poor resale value that makes good modern Mercedes with good powers like the clk500, e500, etc affordable for a lot of younger crowds. it is inevitable that there will be immature kids getting these cars and not appreciate them the way most of us do. all they care is about showing off and think they are they "****" because they drive a MB.

I love your car Benzo, and think it looks great - but I bet your CF hood draws racer-wannabe's to your car like flies to s**t...
