Here is one with the S4, CTSV and C55 from Car and Driver:

Keep in mind that a 1:21 at Nelson Ledges is NOTHING to sneeze at. This is my home track, and I have logged well over a thousand laps there. A stock Mustang, yes a ford, does 1:23-1:24 with a GOOD driver for about 10 laps before brake fade sets in. I was surprised that the caddy best it, if only by the smallest amount.
My stang, with a blower and R tires, ran a 1:16. At about 140MPH on the back straight wide open through the Kink.
See yeah

Sorry alittle OT

The only time I know of where the E46 M3, W203 C55 and B7 RS4 were compared head to head was in Evo magazine.
Here it is:

I think I saved the web pages from the C&D article last year. If I have the electronic version, I'll post the info. I might have just printed the pages. I could scan the pages (they are 8.5 x 11) and post.
Later tonight or tomorrow...

OK, here's the deal. I do not have the html version of the C&D article. I DO have the printouts of the web pages though. I have created a black & white pdf of the lengthy article. If you would like me to get it to you, email me at scottw911@***.net
Please put "C&D C32 comparison" in the subject line so my spam filter does not kick it out.
It is not pretty but the info is there.
Edit: Please note that I have an older comparison test of the C32 v. M3 v. S4. I'm sorry about the confusion.

Guys,
I screwed up. I have the C&D C32 comparison, not the C55 comparison. Sorry. If anyone needs the older test comparison between the S4, C32 and M3, I will still be happy to get it to you.
Sorry, Quicktwinturbo, I know you were expecting the one you originally requested. I've been a bit sleep deprived lately so my brain is not processing properly.

C&C: Executive Adrenalators: CTS-V, S4, C55
R&T: Power Hitters: S4 vs. C55
PM me with your email address if you want them in the HTML version.

Here is the C&D article comparing the RS4 with C55 and M3. The text was scanned by forum member scovit. Remember that this was a head to head comparison WITHOUT objective testing, so the numbers were just taken from previous tests on the C55 and M3. The numbers for the RS4 were just estimates at the time.
However, this article does describe the subjective driving experience very well. Happy reading.
