Kleemann ECU 8-10% hp gain True? false?

Kleemann's website says I can expect an 8-10% gain in HP with there ECU? so at the flywheel i would be making on the low end of that 390hp in my C55? is that true or are the gains not near 8-10% If its true... for a benz that's good bang for your buck at around $1000.

Check around my friend, I haven't seen ANYONE get a gain on a N/A motor from a tune that high. You may get 10-15 HP, But I beleive from posts on this board, that You will NOT get 35-40. Sorry for the bad news.

See yeah

Kleemann Tune.

I did their ECU tune several years ago. It did very close to what they Claim. I went from 295RWHP to 306 RWHP. I posted the Dyno sheet a while back. What really impressed me was the midrpm band torque increase. It was like 26 RW Ft,Lbs. The driveability, Trans shift points, Throttle response, was Dramaticly better. Their tune does more than just Hp increase. If need be after I get back from Graz , Austria . I post the old dyno sheet, It May be still here if you do a search, under posts started by ___PTE___ Cheers ___PTEngineering

Hey there PTE:

You know your post just said why I said. You gained only 9RWHP, which is about 12 at the crank which is about a 4% improvement

Oh well, glad to hear you like it

See yeah

My Post

They kinda don't tell where the increase is at , bUT was well over the 8% in the midrange. sometimes it is more than, just a big top end number. That's why I went into the improved drivability thing. Dyno doesn't show well for me. The track & street said it all . All said & done with my modds the car still runs a 12.66 et & 111 mph on a pee poor track at Moroso WPB.

9 whp for $1000 seems pretty expensive to me. You should probably max out on the breather mods first before the tune. The tune will benefit you more if you already headers, intake and exhaust installed first.

I like it like this

One thing about a Kleemann tune , I only brought it once .And I did many changes , and installs of Kleemann Mods , one at a time, no less. The accompaning ecu update came free of Charge. I only paid for it once

Exclamation

Guys do a dyno prior to then after. Cause what websites claim is best tested results. Our engines are handbuilt so hp/tq numbers vary in each car as I heard. The biggest boost for S/Ced cars is a bigger pulley....
