Anyone look at the SLK32?
I have yet to see an SLK32 on the road, although I have seen several C32's. Which prompted me to wonder if anyone who bought a C32 considered an SLK32? Obviously different class, but most of us put a higher premium on performance over four doors and seats, and i know of a few C32 owners who cross-shopped 911's.

Harris,
I have a 2002 C32 and a 2002 C240.
I love my C32. It is Brilliant Silver Metalic with Factory Xeons, CD Changer, Sunroof, Rain Sensor, Charcoal & Blue Leather, and stock AMG 17'' wheels on Pirelli PZero Rosso tires. With two children, this car was the best fit for someone like me who wanted a practical sports sedan - A comfortable daily driver with brute power all in one package.
My C240 is a C240 Classic, with leather seating inserts and automatic transmission with the following modifications:
(1)The standard wood trim was replaced by the MB aluminum trim
(2)18'' BBS CH Wheels on Kumho 225-40-18 tires
(3) H&R Sport Springs
(4) Salvatore Motorsports F01W Body Kit.
I love my C32 but my modified C240 gets all the attention. Once I sell my C240 I will upgrade the C32's suspension and put on the Salvatore Motorsports F01W Body Kit with a nice set of BBS LM Wheels.

i was driving a 328Ci before the 32. when i go out with friends i'm the one that drives, so slk was not anywhere in my list between C32 or 330i sport or M3.
beside SLK is already 6 years old and more expensive than the C32.

The SLK doesn't fit me (6'3") and it is not as technically advanced in the c0ckpit as the C32.
I have not driven one, but I am told the steering is not quite as nice as the C32, but it IS quicker (due to lighter weight).
And that top sure is cool!

I have a few Renntech mods, wheels, springs, brakes, pulley and chip. The car goes like heck, stop like heck, handles great, and I personnally think it looks great.

that's a nice ride you got. 100 kudos for the mods, but take a few points off because of the rims.

Also, the wheels are functional, i.e., if is difficult to find bigger rims, 18x8.5 and 18x9.5, that don't result in a weight penalty. Because these rims are forged, they are lighter than stock and even with bigger, heavier tires, you still come out ahead in weight.

found it out on tirerack.com...they only shows the rim is polished. i also look at other brand of rims. if it's clear coated tirerack will show it's clearcoated in the description.
