I never liked Continental tires. They came as stock on my 320 years ago and they were terribly dangerous in the rain. They were not this version but ever since that experience I've never used Continental tires again.

yes...
I had them on my Ouchie A4 and have them now on the C55. Came stock on the 06.
They wear fast. On both cars. Of course, on the C55 they are wearing faster on the rear than the front.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Got about 28K on the A4. They wore pretty even...(quattro) and I rotated them.
I am not a fan.

No continental fans so far,
I really thought continental had a better rep. I might cancel my order for them. I thought I would try something new after looking at reviews on tire rack for them.
Then again, I love the Michelin Pilot PS2 that are on my car right now, I think I might just order those again, unless there are any other suggestions. I need tires that drive well in the rain, but stick to the ground when launching.

They came stock on my E63
and they're not that good. They were a little loud and don't grip for sh*t. Also their life span was extremely short. I would go with the Michelin PS2 hands down. The only good thing about the continentals is that it does provide for a comfort ride (more luxury oriented). But other than that, I would stick to the PS2s. If you want a little bit cheaper tires, then try the Toyos, as I've heard great things about them.

If you are serious that you liked your PS2's, try Bridgstone 050 PP's or Goodyear GS-D3's as they CRUSH PS2's on the track, street, etc, etc.
I will say it agian "Friends don't let friends buy Michelin's"
WAY over priced for what you get.
See yeah

MRAMG1, can you please link to each of the tires you mentioned above. I couldn't find them for my car on tirerack? And out of the two tires (Bridgestone & Goodyear), which has more grip/traction even if by a close margin?

I have NEVER driven a street tire on the track that has as much as grip as the Bridgstone 050 PP's. Heck, I passed several R tired cars at Beaverun last year, with many people shaking their heads, and looking at my tires. One drawback is they only have a 140 treadwear. Ironicly, this is the minimum treadwear that the SCCA allows for stock class

I have not, or would ever, consider a Conti for aftermarket tires. They have a very low bang for the buck in the after-market, IMHO.
My Goodyear Eagle F1's are pretty good in the dry & actually very good in the wet.
I've been a Yokohama fan for years (many set's on street & autoX cars) ... ES100's (or whatever the successor is) were great in the dry & "less expensive". They just don't make 'em in the 19" size I have now.
Had top end performance Pirelli's on the car when I bought it (an all out dry P Zero model... maybe a P Zero Nero IIRC) & they were pretty good considering they were on thier absolute last legs.
Top o' the line Michelins are great but pricey.
Good luck!

Yeah, I too really liked the Yok ES100. Heck they were even BETTER than my PS2's. Did I mention they were less than half the price

not to high jack your thread... but has anyone else burned through tires like in 3000 or 4000 miles? i searched and found that most are getting at least 10k to 12k miles on their rear tires... could i need to get my rear chambers adjusted?

Re: Rear tires wearing fast.
Its just a trade off we make for having massive amounts of torque.
I don't mind though![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
By the way I decided to get the ps2's again, but just for the rear. The fronts are still good.
Thanks for everybody's advice and input, I almost had the contis installed.

ok high-jacker ...
What is the wear pattern? It could be a toe adjustment as well.

I have the Conti sport 2s on my C320 and they are not that good. In the rain, the rears have very little traction, you have to be very gentle on the pedal or else ESP kicks in. I noticed today that my front driver side tire has two bulges in the sidewall facing the inside of the car. I'm headed to the tire shop tomorrow to replace them.
