02 c32 loses power in third gear high RPM and wont shift?

happens around 100 MPH the car just pulls hard all the way to the end of third and it just stays at high RPM and wont shift to 4th, and the car just loses all its power like the supercharger just went out or something. Sorry if a stupid question, i tried searching and all i can come up with is maybe the belt slipping. what do u guys think? I just got the car like two weeks ago and it has 64k miles on it. Please Help??

Welcome!
Not sure about why your car isn't shifting into 4th
In any case, sounds like your intercooler pump is out (especially at 64K miles).
Check out C32used's sticky for C32 issues.
Here's the post that has the link to the intercooler DIY from C32used's thread:

From my experience... it's def. the IC pump. I would replace the IC pump first since it's cheap fix. Go to letmotorsports.com and order one.. I would not recommend getting the factory one from the dealer since they die faster. I am about to replace mine as well (2nd one) in a little over a year. Good luck!!

Here's a link if you plan on going DIY...

The EXACT same thing is happening to my car too... I'm out of town right now so can't get it take care of, but please post back if the IC pump is indeed the problem, thanks!

Almost the exact same problem here too, except on mine it sometimes happens around 80 and 120 too. Have you tried manually shifting down into and out of 3/4/D? I could only get it to occur once with the car sitting in 4 during 100+ miles of highway driving today, so if you happen to get back on the road before you get it to the dealer, maybe try that out (with the inherent risks in mind ) and see how the car responds.

Definitely get it checked out by a dealer if you can, but please keep us updated. I'm waiting on a loaner right now to get mine in to the dealer (few other issues, non-perf related), but I'll let you know if I find any answers before then. Mine's at almost the exact same mileage too, and it's an early 2002 Who knows if they might be similar problems...

Also, have you had any other issues with the trans shifting weird at high-RPMs and have you had any other work done on your car? Does your car have the 1500-rpm stutter problem from a stop?

Also, for those suggesting the IC Pump - doesn't that sap power during a whole range of driving speeds? When this problem happens on mine, the power is *definitely* still there all across the power band in all speeds, even after I get it back into 4 or 5 past 100mph or so (not that I drive that fast very often ).

Dealers are not too good at diagnosing a failing IC pump.

Did you take your car to the stealership or figure out anything about your problem? I haven't been able to get mine to do it again so far at all - maybe it was just the tranny heating up and acting weird...

Ok guys, go ahead and replace the IC pump.. I was having the EXACT problem and I finally had the pump replaced yesterday, tested quite a few times this morning and everything is working fine. And a note from the mech too, he said the hoses connected to the pump seem much less pressurized after the new pump was installed, so I guess the old pump even though was working, but was only working partially and not pumping enough flow?
